Kristopher’s eyes flickered open. He was lying on a bed in an elaborate room. He tried to sit up, but his hands were bound behind his back and his feet were bound too. He struggled and looked about the room.

It was a shade of blood red, the walls, ceiling, and curtains were all this color. The bed he lay upon had curtains that were this shade too as well as the blankets. There was a mirror just opposite of him hanging above a dresser. Next to that a closet and glass doors leading to a balcony. To the right of him a door, this led to whatever was outside of this room.

Kristopher struggled again, but to no avail. He cursed to himself and stopped moving when he heard footsteps coming towards the door. It opened silently and the blonde man stepped in, closing it behind him.

He was taller than Kristopher, handsome, with short blonde hair. He had light grey-blue eyes that almost blended in with the white part of them. He had broad shoulders and a strong looking body. He did not look any older than twenty-three. He wore strange medieval type clothing with a sword buckled to his side.

I have been transported to the past! Kristopher thought, or I am in one of those villages with those people who think they are living in the past. Nah, can’t be that, they were driving cars and had guns, come to think of it, they had on different clothes then!

The man knelt beside Kristopher and brushed his hand across his cheek. Kristopher shivered and squirmed away. “I don’t go for guys, dude!”

“My name is Adonis, do I have the pleasure of knowing yours?” he asked.

“You abducted me, now you’re being nice and ask me my name?” Kristopher snapped.

“Then let’s see your name is,” Adonis took a card from a wallet, “Kristopher, seventeen, student at Armand High School.”

“Hey! Did you just jack that from my pocket?”

“Does it matter? You won’t be needing it.” Adonis stood up and untied Kristopher’s hands and feet. Kristopher rolled off the bed and stood in a fighting position.

“I’m not afraid of you, I know Karate!” Kristopher growled.

“Mhm, yes, yes most of you do, but I don’t think you’ll be doing any fighting with me, Kris, mind if I call you Kris? Yes? Ok, you have a sedative in you, not only did it put you asleep but it also takes a good amount of energy from you.”

Saying that, Kristopher suddenly felt dizzy and fell to the floor. Adonis stood above him, “what do you want with me you crazy pervert?”

“You, my dear Kris, are the one; you can pull that sword from its resting place and change the course of our world. We found you before anyone else could and we can use you to our advantages. Of course there were many boys before you, none of them were the one, but you, you’ve had a strange dream where you find a pure white sword, have you not?”

“What’s it to you?”

“This means you’re the rightful person! Wonderful, we’ve finally done it!” Adonis laughed. He grinned and knelt down before him. “My dear Kris, you, you will be the one who will save us, defeat our enemies and make the world that I envisioned.”

Kristopher moved slightly, inching his way away from this man. “Yeah? What if I don’t want to? What if I make this world the way I want it to be?”

Adonis frowned and chuckled, placing his hand on Kristopher’s chest. “I have my way with men, Kristopher; I can change your mind.”

Kristopher jumped to his feet despite him being dizzy. “Don’t touch me you freak! I’ll kick your ass!”

“I’m hurt, I thought I was your friend.” He smiled.

“Friend? You kidnapped me and you think you’re my friend?” Kristopher was livid now, he felt like killing this guy. What’s with this guy? Why does he act so calm around me as if he did nothing wrong?

Adonis stood to his feet and pushed Kristopher against the wall. “That drug in you will last a while, there’s no way you can fight me. All will be done soon, Kris, you’ll take the sword and we’ll use you for our own gain.” He smiled and planted a kiss on Kristopher’s cheek. Kristopher’s stomach turned and he slammed his fist hard across Adonis’s cheek. Adonis fell to the floor and shook his head. He rubbed his cheek and wiped the blood from his lower lip.

“My, Kris, you do connect with a lot of power.” He chuckled, staggering upright.

“I’ll knock you out next time you lay a finger on me!” Kristopher was red in the face from embarrassment or anger, one of the two.

Adonis turned and went to the door. “You rest, Kris, you have a long day ahead of you tomorrow,” he turned and smiled at him before leaving the room. The door made a clicking noise as it locked.

Kristopher’s head pounded as he ran to the glass doors, hoping he could jump off the balcony. When he looked down to see the ground, he then realized that he was in the highest tower of a castle. Kristopher cursed and walked back inside. He fell onto the bed and sulked. Many thoughts were running through his mind. He had no idea where he was. This Adonis guy comes in and kisses him on the cheek. He doesn’t even know the person. Kristopher rolled on his back and sighed. He prayed that he would find a way out, find a way to get back home to his friends and family. He knew now that no one would be able to find him. He’d have to escape himself. Kristopher closed his eyes and was plunged back into the dream he had the first night all of this started to happen.

Adonis stood by the door for a while. He had a grin on his face. He looked at his feet and thought a while. He thought about how the world was going to change, how he was going to do it. He started to chuckle quietly, that chuckle turning into maniacal laughter. He put his face in his hands and continued to laugh as he envisioned his enemies trampled into the ground. He gasped and stopped laughing. Walking down the hall, he hummed happily and giggled a little as he past his servants.

In his room, Adonis twirled around like a child, taking hold of one of his pillows and danced with it. He chuckled playfully and fell back onto his bed. He stared at the ceiling and sighed. Kristopher came into his mind now. Oh, how he longed for that boy, though Kristopher was six years younger than he was. Adonis reached for the ceiling, his smiled had faded. “He has quiet the temper, Kris does. The way he looked at me when he punched me. Such hatred in his eyes.” He sat up and looked at his hands. “I have blood on my hands, I always will, but that boy, he is pure and innocent, never killed anything in his life. I wonder how this will change him.”

One of his servants came in and bowed. “Your majesty, your dinner is ready.”

“Alright, I’ll be right there.” Adonis scooted off his bed and left his room.

“Come on those freaks went in here!” Jack whispered harshly as they pulled up to an old castle. Jack, Luke, and Champ had taken Kristopher’s car and followed Adonis and his men. They had to stay far behind, so they wouldn’t be caught.

“Lucky Kris leaves his keys in his book bag right?” Champ said, ducking behind a tree.

“It looks like no one’s here, I think we can go inside.” Luke said, walking towards the castle.

“Man, you stupid or somethin’? If they took Kris inside, then there’s gotta be dudes inside!” Champ snapped.

“No, something tells me that place is empty.” Luke walked up to the castle gates.

“Then what the hell are we doin’ here? We gotta find Kris, not explore some old place.”

“But the cars are parked here, that means the have to be somewhere around here.” Jack said.

Luke pushed the doors open. “Look, what a strange mirror!” Luke beckoned the others to come in. It was a tall jagged mirror, like the one in Kristopher’s dream. There was a reflection of a village in it.

“Hey man, touch it!” Champ said.

“No way you touch it!”

“Why don’t we all touch it, maybe this is where those guys took Kris!” Jack said. The other two nodded and at once, the three boys touched the jagged surface. The room around them began to spin quickly. The ground shook as if there was an earthquake. Then it stopped. They were inside the land of the mirror.
