Would you fly with me?

Fall back in to an embrace

Only your heart could see?

Now you race,

To touch the opal in the sky,

Only for it to escape in a jagged shard,

Love was never kind nor easy,

But fitful, hard.

A single small step

Could clear the distance,

But love wouldn't and never will

Come in an instance.

Because love is like the moon, sea and stars,

Only one small, well-placed

step;

and you're faced

with love.
