Things were so good, but you didn't mean a thing you said. Turn into snow, and go away.

April Snow

You took off your coat

And we played in the grass.

You held me so close

In your arms made of glass.

You told me you loved me,

But I knew it would pass.

Nothing this good could possibly last.

When air turned to warmth

In the back of your car

I told you I loved you,

So you made love to the bar.

I'm alone in spring's mist

Wondering what we are.

Maybe this is the time that we finally depart.

Middle of cold spring

I told you just to go.

You've broken my heart,

Where is my quid pro quo?

I hope you're frozen

In dying April snow,

I hope you turn to powder and may the freezing wind blow.
