As we travel down our

Separate spiral staircases

Into the unknown

There is so much

I wish I could have done.

A kiss upon your delicate ear,

A song from my heart to yours,

A dance behind the curtains,

A finger laid upon your cheek,

A voice lingering in my walls.

None of these have I done.

None of them shall I

Have the chance

To do

Again.

A tear upon my carpet,

A claw-mark on my wall,

A scream inside a bottle,

A bloodspot under the window,

A wish upon my door.

All these I have made and done

Numerous times

When wishing

You could be here

With me.

Though our staircases divide us

I am able to see you

And continue down my path

Though it may not lead me

To you.
