You occasionally say I love you too.

You say you do but I know you don’t,

Not Like I do.

Make me promise things, for and other I wont,

But what for?

You don’t love me anymore.

Treat me like a friend,

But my heart doesn’t bend

In the direction you intend.

And I’m wondering when the games will stop,

As a friend you only hurt me more.

You don’t love me,

I know for sure.

But do you?

If you understand how you feel

Or if it's real,

I can't tell.

But i think you do,

Yea, you do, and you know it.

You’re just afraid to show it.

Giving me a little

Just to make me believe

That the chance you love me,

That we could succeed

Is still there.

And you win!

I’m still yours to take and leave as you please.

But I just want you to know how much you’re hurting me.

Alone, pondering the words rippling my tongue to nothing.

That’s all there is here, for me at least.
