Fallen

We are the Fallen.

They bring with them only death,

Stealing our lives, stealing our breath,

We were once warm, we once felt joyed,

No we are left with nothing but void.

We weep.

Our eyes are empty, staring to the sky,

We cannot wipe the tears that fall within as we cry,

We are filled with a mix of rage and fear,

In us we let burn the fury, we let it sear.

We seethe.

They only want one thing, our souls they reap,

We are left for eternity in an endless sleep,

Our minds are free but forever trapped in our still form,

Our rage is waiting to be released, a broiling storm.

We war.

We seek an end to this half life we lead,

An end is a dream; an end is a need,

We fight a battle within – our minds sing for release,

A song, our bodies refuse to appease.

We betray

In a last attempt to gain the freedom we lust,

Our minds turn on our bodies, destroying trust,

Our last attack - we lash out. The end we long,

Our minds betray or bodies, falling into blackness, we are gone.

We are the Fallen, we weep, we seethe, we war, we betray…

We destroy.
