Summer nights
Drifting and moving
Finding out who we are

Summer days
You met her that Sunday
And she changed who you are

But you didn’t seem to care
When you tore her heart right there
On Labor Day, she wept

All good things come to an end
Sooner or later
But she’s not same
Since that day you jaded her

Chorus:

Cause she used to smile
And she would sing
And she would talk of lovely things
She would open up her heart
And let the world hear its sound
But that’s all different now
That’s all different now

Fall leaves
Bright in color
Hides her wounded heart

Winter nears
The air, it bites
But she’s already cold

It sickens me inside
All the tears that she’s cried
Over your lost love

All good things come to an end
Sooner or later
How can you live with yourself?
After the way you betrayed her

Chorus

This winter cold won’t leave
From her distant eyes
Tears no longer come

All the good things came to an end
Now and forever
She’s broken inside
And no matter what you say
You can’t make things better

Cause now, she won’t smile
And she won’t sing
And she’s forgotten the lovely things
She has closed up her heart
And the world’s lost to her now
Cause you were the only thing
That kept her sound
