My Concern is Not My Earthen Bed

I’ll sleep when I’m dead;

Life is much too short.

My concern is not my earthen bed.

Twilight sparkles warm and red

My career will concern court.

I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

Despite the pressures, I won’t be lead

To shy from life and run to a port.

My concern is not my earthen bed.

No matter what, I’ll keep my head.

Never to resort to tort.

I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

I’ve listened to what has been said

I’ll defend my life like it were a fort.

My concern is not my earthen bed.

I’ll eat off this life until I am fed.

My feelings aren’t overt.

I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

My concern is not my earthen bed.
