BookFan06: Okay, here is chapter two. It’s been a while since I’ve updated, sorry about that. I’m ether really busy or really lazy, probably both.
I do love reviews, input, and constructive criticism, so please review with what you think, but no flames please. No one likes flamers.

Chapter Two – A Bach
I awoke early the next morning drenched in sweat. I remember having a dream the night before, but I couldn’t remember what it was about. It was a nice dream though…. I got up, dressed, and went downstairs into the dining room.
“It’s amazing that you get anything done with how much you sleep” my brother told me.
I ignored him and ate the wonderful breakfast Mother cooked us.
After breakfast I left my house to explore my old town again. I had left a lot of old friends here and I wanted to see them again. My town has not changed since I have left a year ago. The town is the picture of Germany itself: small white cottages, flowers adorning the yards, large oaks along the roads, and nestled quietly in the hills.
I spoke too many of my good friends: Lukas, the doctor, Fynn, the lawyer, his wife Leah, Augustus, the teacher, and finally, my old music teacher Herr Zachau.
Herr Zachau was the closest friend I ever had while growing up. It was he who taught me about music and helped develop my career. I greatly respect and admire him.
I knew right where to find him, too. I walked through the town until I found my way to the old church.
There were many reasons why I loved this church. The size, for one, it was huge. It must be about the size of Notre Dame. I as well loved the gothic felling it radiated on the outside and the felling of holiness on the inside. Glass stained windows adorned the sides of the church, depicting religious stories. At the front of the church was a gigantic organ that I had loved as long as I can remember.
As I expected, I saw the elderly Herr Zachau sitting at the organ playing ‘A Mighty Fortress’ and I waited patiently until he finished. He was very pleased to see me and greeted hugged me close.
“I’m so happy to see you my dear boy. I beg of you to tell me of your travels.” I was more than happy to. I told him about my employer, the Elector of Hanover and that he may promote me to Kapellmeister. I also told him that I had met Queen Ann of England, the Elector’s cousin, as well as my new friend Johann Mattheson and the excellent performance I did in London.
“I told you that you would do well. You have no idea how proud I am of you.”
Never had I been more pleased to hear a complement.

After talking with Herr Zachau, I stopped by the bakery and bought a loaf of bread for my mother. As I left the shop and walked around the main street, I noticed a group of people at the far end of the street, where the instrument store was. There, you could either by an instrument, have it repaired, have one made, or buy other equipment that helped in the proper care of an instrument, as well as music lessons.
I walked toward them, although I had no intention of talking to them. One was an elderly man, probably in his sixties; the other was a beautiful young woman in her early twenties, and the last was a young man who also appeared to be in his early twenties, although I couldn’t see his face at first.
“I belive that will be all for now, thank you,” said the older man to the shop owner. He then turned to the other two and said to them, “we must be on our way. Johann, I belive that you promised the family you’d play a part of that new work of yours.”
“Yes father,” Johann replied, “but you know how the family is, there are so many of them, I doubt that they can stay silent for so long.”
“True,” the woman said, “but I know how they are, dear, they think the world of you as I do.”
When I was only a few feet away, the young man turned toward me. Our eyes meet. It took all I could not to cry out in surprise. It was him, the man in the audience back in England, the one with the hypnotizing eyes.
He recognized me as well. I saw it in his face. He as well tried to calm himself.
Suddenly, it all made sense. I knew who this man was. The clues where all there: his understanding and love of music, his large family, the fact that he had relatives in Halle, and his name was Johann. It was all there, it all clear.
He was a Bach.
