This is something that I wrote at the least a year ago, probably more, so it might not be that great. It's very short, and is just something I made up. I felt slightly guilty for only having a few poems on here, so I decided to put up something new.
Well, not really 'new', but you know what I mean. Right?
Lea was just dancing in the rain; letting the falling droplets cleanse her soul. “What are you doing out there?!” her friend asked, “You’ll catch a cold!” Lea just looked at her and started laughing. “What’s so funny? It’s true!” Lea just continued laughing and walking in the rain. Finally, she turned and said, “You. You are what’s so funny. The rain may give me a cold, sure, but it’s very unlikely. It’s quite warm, actually. You know, the rain may seem like it ruins your day; canceling outdoor activities, making the day boring, sometimes making it so that you can’t get anywhere. But it doesn’t. You can still go outside; it makes the day better. You can bathe in natures’ tears. It cleanses you; rejuvenates you. Makes it so that you can handle another day in reality. The rain is anything but a nuisance. It is a wonderful occurrence that people should enjoy…” Her friend looked a little confused as she watched Lea dance a little more. “Here, let me show you…” She dragged her friend out into the rain. “Wait! I have to get a raincoat on! And…” “Oh, forget that stuff. Just let the rain wash away your life and enjoy it for now…” Lea’s friend took her advice and started feeling the rain, I mean really feeling it. She heard each drop land, she smelled the sweet fragrance. Finally, she understood why Lea was always in the rain. It was more than just water; it was an escape.
