The beloved winter sport

The spectacular ice dance

Art appears on the pool of solid marble

As ice dancers glide through

In a rare melding of grace and grit,

Swaying through the dance floor

In glistening outfits

Skaters stride with confidence

The specks and spots

Radiate throughout the coliseum

As they do their selves

And now it starts!

Lights appear as skaters disappear

A single skater remains

Delightful squeals and laughter accompany music

Then she moves

Whoosh!

As she passes the people who has her fate in their hands

Like a breeze passing through

She disappears just as fast

See the confidence in her stride

See the sparkle in her glide

Watch the leaps that defy gravity

And finally she finishes with a spray of ice and a bow

Slowly, slowly

One by one

Applause is heard

She beams with pride.
