Here's a little one-shot for all ye lovely people who choose to read it. It's just a little thing I wrote for the hell of it. I am well aware it isn't slash, but, as much as it pains me to admit it, my most beloved and most worked on story isn't slash either, and it's not on FP. But, enough of my ramblings angels. Read, review and, hopefully, enjoy!

Bye!

“Don’t drop me…” she whispers softly, blue eyes wide with fear. Warm brown eyes gaze back at her steadily and a small smile of reassurance flits across the handsome face above her. She trusts that face, that boy.

“I never will, you know that right?” says the boy gently. She nods almost imperceptibly.

She sees colours whirling around and around, blurring magically into a haze, eyes then turn to the sky and see the colour of summer. The boy, who is spinning around with her in his arms, laughs. “Harry!” she squeals, “Don’t go so fast, you’ll drop me!” The little boy giggles and stops, cheeks pink from exertion, breathing a little hard.

I won’t drop you Jen” he tells the little girl with blonde pigtails.

“Harry” the girl whispers, arms beginning to ache.

“Yes Jen” asks Harry, brown eyes concerned, upper body on fire from the effort of holding himself and Jen up. The blonde girl looks terrified.

“Someone will come right, Harry?”

“Of course they will.”

“You remember that summer…?” Harry smiles softly.

“Yeah, sure I do Jen…”

Harry Young! If you do not stop shooting me with that darn water pistol I am going to be forced to attack” stated an annoyed looking blonde girl in a bikini and a loose cotton dress, her face stern, her eyes smiling. A tall boy with a cheeky grin and messy brown hair grinned and squirted her again with the gun. “That’s it!” shrieked the girl, launching to her feet and running after the teenage boy who was laughing like mad. When she reached him and began to pound him playfully, he grabbed both wrists and stopped her, silencing her too. She began to speak before he cut her off with a gentle kiss. She broke away and grinned. He prodded her side and she yelped as he began to tickle her mercilessly. She managed to twist around in his arms so that she was with her back to him. He promptly picked her up around the waist and began to spin around. She yelled and laughed, “Don’t you dare drop me!” she yelled in between bouts of laughter as they span. They finally fell to the floor together, laughing hard and hugging.

I’d never drop you Jen” said Harry softly, kissing her forehead and holding her close.

Harry breathed hard and Jen looked up at his handsome face.

“You can’t hold both of us up Harry…” Harry looked down at her, forehead creased in the effort it was taking for him to hold on to both the ledge and Jen.

“Don’t be silly Jen, I can hold on just fine, someone will come soon. Anyway, I promised I’d never drop you, never let go.”

A young man in a tuxedo stands before his bride, tall and proud. His messy brown hair is the same as it always has been, his eyes as warm and loving as they were all the years his fiancé had known him, his smile as soft and cheeky as it had been as a child, his face handsome. The bride loves him as much as she always has, if not more right then. The groom is just as enamoured of his bride as she is of him. Her hair is a blonde as it was when she was a little girl, and just as beautiful, her eyes are still the perfect blue they always have been, her face as young and beautiful as always, and her tall figure in the white dress is just stunning.

Jen, Harry, I believe you had a few words to add to your vows…” Jen nods.

Harry, I promise to you that I will always put you first and love you more than anything in the whole world.” Harry smiles softly.

Jen, my beauty, my love and my best friend, besides loving you, honouring you and always taking care of you, I promise I will never drop you.” Jen grins. As the priest, with a few more words on all sides, pronounces them man and wife, Harry kisses Jen and picks her up, spinning her around. For the first time, she doesn’t tell him not to drop her.

“Harry, you promised never to drop me, but I promised to always put you first darling” Harry looked at Jen slowly shaking his head.

“Jen, princess, baby, don’t you dare, I promised I wouldn’t drop you, I won’t, I won’t let you.” Jen bit her lips, tears streaming from her blue eyes.

“I love you Harry. It’s ok to drop me this time.” She reached up her other hand and gently pries apart his sweaty fingers that are gripping her wrist. He frowns and grips tighter, shaking his head.

“Do you love me Harry?” asks Jen, looking up at Harry’s handsome but desperate face.

“Of course, always, like I said, of course I love you, and I promised not to drop you.”

“Good. You said that, but I said I’d put you first and now it’s you or neither of us. I choose you.” She pushes his fingers loose and twists her wrist. Harry grabs but her hand slips through his sweaty fingers and she falls.

“I promised not to drop you…” he whispers, watching the tumbling body. The whir of a helicopter reaches his ears barely a second later and he is pulled into the cabin part, limp and unresisting, eyes vacant of life, smile lost, but still breathing. The paramedics busy themselves fixing his broken arm and his bleeding cuts. As they fly away from the cliffs he looks out of the window and looks back, watching the crashing waves at their feet. “I didn’t drop you Jen…” he whispered, voice inaudible. The only person who needed to hear heard him and replied. I know Harry, I know. You never have…

Well, I do admit, this made me feel a little teary. I guess I get to attached to my characters, but hell, who doesn't!?
