Manipulation of the Soulless Words

-

-

Her arms felt like silk

-

Beautiful but dead cold

Lost in the fold

Of tarnished gold

I begin to mold

-

Into something different

-

I asked her about this

-

Why aren’t you warm?

Is it only in one form?

Of a bitter chilled storm

That makes me transform?

-

Why do you hurt me?

-

She answered back simply

-

You are too young to feel

And to find a way to heal

As you go to the throne to kneel

And see that the king is not real

-

It breaks your heart

-

Her words hold truth

-

That finding something to believe

Is hard to possibly conceive

From all whom deceive

In what you can perceive

-

The world is nothing but illusion

-

There are some things I know

-

That the world is round

And when held, it makes a sound

Of something quite profound

And hidden in the ground

-

It is a buried treasure

-

That all of us seek

-

I feel it in my soul

A lost empty hole

Of something that I stole

And it burns like coal

-

Perhaps it is only emotion

-

I will find my way

-

Through the narrow gate

That holds my fate

That brings me to this state

In which I will wait

-

For something to happen

-

And then something comes

-

It flies right at me

In a silent plea

Not to flee

But only agree

-

That there is something worth believing in

-

Something that will never go away

-

That holds me so secure

And it makes me sure

That I am not obscure

And will forever endure

-

It is myself
