Sunrise Girl

By Sises Neravise

You came over to my place to watch the sunrise,
The clouds overcast what a big surprise,
But still you let me wrap my arms around you.

The cold morning air brings in a chill,
With birds all around, singing sweet yet shrill,
And I can’t help thinking just how beautiful you look,

We get to talking about our lives,
You say your confused, how I wish you lied,
I don’t know what to do, it’s just so hard to let go,

And all I’m thinking about is,

I wish you could be my sunrise girl,
But for the moment your so lost to this world,
Beyond anything that I could ever reach.

I want take your hand, and hold you close,
To close my eyes, and with a sweet surprise,
See you still there the next time I awake.

You call me once, twice, three times a day,
We talk about pretty much everything,
Damn baby what’s their to be so confused about?

You seem so scared of hurting me,
But baby that’s the way it has to be,
You got to take and give just to make it through this life,

For one moment the day felt like perfect bliss,
Once you let me give you just one tiny kiss,
I think it was that moment when things went so downhill,

And all I’m thinking about is,

I wish you could be my sunrise girl,
But for the moment your so lost to this world,
Beyond anything that I could ever reach.

I want take your hand, and hold you close,
To close my eyes, and with a sweet surprise,
See you still there the next time I awake.

I’ll give you your space,
I’ll take a step back,
As long as I can believe we’ll get back on track,
To how things felt before everything changed.

I remember staring deep into your blue eyes,
So deep it felt like years could pass by,
And I wouldn’t know one day from any other before.

I just like to think that it can work,
That we can work things out for better or worse,
Scream and shout if that’s how things have to get done.

And all I’m think about is,

I wish you could be my sunrise girl,
But for the moment your so lost to this world,
Beyond anything that I could ever reach.

I want take your hand, and hold you close,
To close my eyes, and with a sweet surprise,
See you still there when I next awake.

I’ll take a step back,
I’ll give you your space,
As long as I get another kiss,
Another time, another place,
When I can say your no one else’s but mine.

Sweet Sunrise girl just please open your eyes,
Try to know the surprise that can come from such happiness.

a/n: I hope you all injoyed this poem, I found the inspiration today at work, to write this from a few events that have taken place. A good friend of mine actually has asked me at some point, to write a poem about her, and so here it is. I know its not exactly what she was hopeing for, but things don't always work out to your expectations. Please review and let me know what you all think, Thank You. -Sises
