It was never my intention

To cause you any pain

Can’t we start the past

Week over again?

No one could ever measure up

Enough to take your place

Not even close, you’ve set

Too fast a pace

It would just be some fun, doing

One thing just for me

I’m not planning just yet (or ever)

On setting you free

I’ll never fall the way

I have for you, again

And I hope you’ll realise

That’s not the aim.
