Trapped and alone
I dwell on my own
Many faces have come and gone
With feature that remain unknown

No one around me speaks
It’s been like this for weeks
Lips move - the words I cannot hear
Trapped alone in my world of fear

I’m the lonely rag doll, left on the shelf
At times, I’ve even scared myself
With the thoughts that enter my head
The ones that often wish myself dead

Most don’t see that side of me
Some see the part of me that’s free
But inside, I’m trapped with nowhere to go
Surrounded by faces I do not know.
