The sun glistens against your hair

I miss your smile

I miss your joy

I miss the constant energy that is provoked

At each suggestion--

Each timing--

Each wonderful moment.

Spontaneity:

Wonderful wonders of a wonderful world

Lay at your feet before you

Like the glimmering shine

Of the yellow brick road

While the ruby slippers gleam

Beneath your own energy

Pleading to skip down the path

For the adventures that lay ahead.

I miss such silly moments

Of when we made everything a tale

We've made boys cry

We've made friends laugh

We've scared many a journeyman

On the fourth of July

Mimicking old movies

While stalking them down city streets

Secrets have been shared--

Whispered to each other in the darkness

Dreams have been ignited;

Lit as a flame to a fuel lamp

Laying ahead of us-- dreams of what

We hoped to achieve;

Great things scorched with the ambition

That lay before us.

Nostalgic days of yonder

That we shared in the past

Late night movies,

Cheap horror thrills

Pirating through the world,

Holding others hostage.

Giggling beneath Authority's Eye

In secluded classrooms

In detentions that were held

Up beneath pointless views;

Built on dumb rules;

Of stupid regulations

That were meant to be followed

As if we were POWs.

Many happy days lay behind;

Will just as many lay ahead?

Whatever happens between us--

Wherever we go--

Whatever we become--

I will always love you

From the bottom of my heart.

My little minion;

The one who will always be

My one and only

Captain.
