GRAVITATIONAL PULL

This wasn’t made by me, so I’ll explain later, once you had finished reading. ü

--------------------------------------------------------------

Staring out into the sky

Watching the change of time

The light of the moon is enticing

Listening to the sound of silence

But the sight just doesn't feel right

I look around, everything is a mess

My scattered thoughts here and there.

Through the haze one thing comes to my mind

The obscurity of life at its finest.

How such simple truths could be masked

And designed with a different hue

To create this facade of beauty.

This temperamental world evolves,

Overcoming nothing.

I seek the heavens for my meaning

Only showing my frailty.

No hope is lost

For this damned race

For there is something real

My moments with you

Can change the way I feel

-------------------------------------------

Author’s Notes: Again, thank you for reading. Now, you may have noticed that “Gravitational Pull” is somewhat similar to my poem, “Lying Awake”. This is because I had a draft of it that I let my friend read, and she came up with ideas on how to improve it, hence the end product of “Gravitational Pull”. Please review and tell me what you think of my friend’s version, so I can give her your insight on her rendition. Thank you very much! Ü
