Hayden's Point of View

I can't believe he did that to me.

I knew it was too good to be true.

Nothing ever goes my way.

To think, I was actually going to take him to Fall Out Boy with me.

I guess it's just me, Feli, and Rae then.

Best friends 'til the end.

Rae's Point of View

"What do you mean he kissed that bitch?" I yelled at Felicia.

"You heard me. I was waiting for Hayden at the movie theater and I spotted him while I was looking around, If he was just talking to the girl I wouldn't have said anything, but no, the idiot's tongue was shoved down her fucking throat. Poor Hayden. She seems to have a thing for assholes." Ah, Felicia speaks the truth once again.

I snorted, "No kidding. First it was that Reynolds guy, then Michaels, and now Travis."

She replied, "Then we'll just have to get Rob to agree to be her body guard."

I nodded, "We don't even have to ask, he'll do it anyway."

She laughed, "You're right about that."

The Next Day
Travis's Point of View

You know when I said that I fucked up big time...and that I would have to avoid my friends for a long time? I stand corrected. I'll probably have to avoid them forever because apparently somebody told Robert about my big mistake with Elizabeth. Goddammit! I swear it was just to get back at Michaels for what he did to Hayden. I knew that if I said something about it, that Hayden wouldn't allow it. Fuck, if I had just said something then I wouldn't be backed up against a wall trying to avoid Rob. I swear, that guy is way too overprotective of Hayden - and they never even went out.

"Looking for me?" Somebody had chuckled from beside me. I turned my head to see who it was.

Robert James Christensen.

Also known as Hayden's new bodyguard. Well...at least it's better than her big brother. I gulped, "I swear it was just to get back at Michaels, nothing else."

He chortled, "Nothing else?!" Oh shit, he was pissed now. "Your tongue was shoved down Elizabeth Tatum's throat. You probably broke Hayden's heart." He took a deep breath, and then continued, "And you know what the worst part is - she had to find out from somebody else."

I sobbed, "Do you honestly think that I wanted that?" I yelled at him, "I fucking loved Hayden and I told you already - it was all to get back at Michaels."

Somebody new came into the conversation and laughed. "Looks like my plan actually worked out."

Plan? What plan?

Robert glared at him, "You mind telling us what you're talking about, Michaels?"

He smiled, "Gladly." He looked up at the ceiling and then back at us before continuing, "Elizabeth is my girlfriend at the moment, as you both know. So I asked her to do me a favor...to convince Travis to cheat on Hayden using whatever means necessary - and that includes lying. She told you that making out with her would be a way to get back at me, didn't she?" I nodded and he went on with his little speech, "I knew that you wouldn't ask Hayden for her consent so I had no doubt that she would dump you after finding out from her best friend. I chose that day to send Elizabeth to do her task because they would both be there, leaving you with no allies." He chuckled, "Seems like you forgot that I've been trying to get Hayden back for a long time." With that said, Michaels left us alone.

Rob looked at me, "I'm sorry man, if I had known, I wouldn't have been so harsh on you."

I shook my head, "No problem. I know how it must have looked."

He sighed, "That doesn't matter. I still should have taken your side; you're one of my best friends."

Hayden's Point of View

Tyler Caden is starting to get really annoying. He keeps trying to tell me that it was all Dan's fault that Travis had cheated on me. Yeah, right! And the queen of England is my grandmother. "It's the truth, I swear!" There he goes again. "I tried to warn Travis but he wouldn't listen." I rolled my eyes at this point. I mean, he's pointing out the obvious. Nobody, and I mean nobody, would ever listen to him and take him seriously. "Why would I lie about the fact that my best friend asked his own girlfriend to cheat on her with his ex's boyfriend? I heard them with my own damn ears."

I snapped at him, "I loved Travis. He should've told me himself what he did with Elizabeth; I shouldn't have had to find out from Felicia - or better yet, not touch Elizabeth at all. She's the same girl that your so-called best friend cheated on me with, and he should have known better than to do anything with her." After saying what I needed to say, I headed towards my English class with a Panic! At The Disco CD in hand because the assignment that was due today was an anthem or something to that extent that could basically describe our life. The teacher picked names at random so it was just bad luck that I was the first one called. I skipped to track six and Brendon Urie's voice filled the room.

Well, she's not bleeding on the ballroom floor just for the attention.
'Cause that's just ridiculously odd. Well she sure is gonna get it;
here's the setting, fashion magazines line the walls,
now the walls line the bullet holes.

Have some composure, where is your posture?
Oh, no, no.
You're pulling the trigger, pulling the trigger all wrong.
Have some composure, where is your posture?
Oh, no, no.
You're pulling the trigger, pulling the trigger all wrong.

Give me envy.
Give me malice.
Give me your attention.
Give me envy.
Give me malice.
Baby, give me a break.

When I say "shotgun", you say "wedding"
"Shotgun", "wedding", "shotgun", "wedding"

She didn't choose this role,
but she'll play it and make it sincere
so you cry, you cry. (give me a break)
But they believe it from the tears and the teeth right
down to the blood at her feet.
Boys will be boys, hiding in estrogen and wearing aubergine dreams.

Have some composure, where is your posture?
Oh, no, no.
You're pulling the trigger, pulling the trigger all wrong.
Have some composure, where is your posture?
Oh, no, no.
You're pulling the trigger, pulling the trigger all wrong.

Come on this is screaming photo op.
Come on, come on,
This is screaming, this is screaming.
This is screaming photo op.

Boys will be boys, baby.
Boys will be boys.
Boys will be boys, baby.
Boys will be boys.

Give me envy.
Give me malice.
Give me your attention.
Give me envy.
Give me malice.
Baby, give me a break.

When I say "shotgun", you say "wedding"
"Shotgun", "wedding", "shotgun", "wedding"

Boys will be boys, hiding in estrogen;
and boys will be boys.
Boys will be boys, hiding in estrogen and wearing aubergine dreams.

I pressed stop after the song had ended. Mrs. Creevey, the english teacher, asked, "Hayden, was there any specific event in your life that had made you choose this song as your 'anthem'?" I nodded. She asked, "Would you please tell us what that was?"

I said, "Well, I had this boyfriend. I thought that he was amazing. Then, just yesterday, I got a call from a friend and found out that he cheated on me - and that just broke my heart in two, as if somebody was holding me at gunpoint for so long...and just finally decided to pull the trigger."

She nodded, "Okay, thank you for that piece of information. Up next is Travis Johnson."

Travis's Point of View

I can't believe it. She dedicated her project...to me? I never thought she'd be hurt as much as I was.

"Travis Johnson, it's your turn."

I walked up to the front with my guitar in hand. I asked the teacher in a low voice, "Is it okay if I play it instead? Because I don't own the CD." She nodded. I started strumming my guitar before to make sure that it was tuned correctly and then started to play the actual song.

"Where is your boy tonight?
I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know,
you were the last good thing about this part of town.

When I wake up, I'm willing to take my chances on who -
I forget that you hate him more than you notice;
I wrote this for you, for you.

You need him, I could be him.
I could be an accident, but I'm still trying.
That's more than I can say for him.

Where is your boy tonight?
I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know,
you were the last good thing about this part of town.

Someday I will appreciate and value
Get off my ass and call you.
In the meantime, I'll sport my brand new fashion
Of waking up with pants off at four in the afternoon.

You need him, I could be him.
I could be an accident, but I'm still trying.
That's more than I can say for him.

1 - 2 - 3 - 4

Where is your boy tonight?
I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know,
you were the last good thing about this part of town.

Whoa yeah (we will find it)
Whoa yeah (we will find it)

Where is your boy tonight?
I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know,
you were the last good thing about this part of town.

Where is your boy tonight?
I hope he is a gentleman.
Maybe he won't find out what I know,
you were the last good thing about this part of town."

I stopped playing and wiped of the tears that had started to fall sometime during the song. I spoke up before questions could be asked, "I chose that song because of my ex-girlfriend. She meant everything to me, and she still does. I'd do anything for her to take me back, even if we would just be friends. Anything would be better than the relationship we have now. Because she hates me and I still love her more than anything else in this world."

Mrs. Creevey clapped. "That was amazing. I could hear your emotion through your voice; I bet if you would write some of your own songs that you could make it big in the music industry."

I replied, "Thanks." Then I returned to my seat behind Hayden. I put my head down on my desk, but I could swear that I heard her say 'I don't hate you.'

Yeah, right...that would only happen in my dreams; and if I'm lucky, this whole thing might be a dream.

But we all know that's not true. I fucked up and there's nothing I can do to fix that.

Author's Note: I really need to stop inserting lyrics into these things. But whatever, you can live, right? I mean, I needed to give you guys more insight into Travis's personality. The songs are by Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy. I know this came really late; I was in a writer's block.
