Sitting in the corner

Collecting a veil of dust

Sits a very beautiful doll

With fragile porcelain skin

Cherry red lips, rosy cheeks

Mysterious grey eyes, staring blankly

All framed by perfect black curls

With a slender body

Encased in silky crimson ruffles

But even with all this beauty,

She was left behind

For the flashy plastic Barbie

Flawless pale skinned beauty

Replaced by a shiny fake tan

Perfect black curls traded in

For a straight blonde cut

Rich crimson ruffles abandoned

For flashy skin tight outfits

And she, one of a kind, left behind

For one from an assembly line

So she sits collecting dust on a broken heart

As he left her to chase after something “new”
