Crimson

A plastic face that hides her icy heart

Her beauty covers her broken soul

Something that make-up cannot conceal

The mascara you wear runs down your cheek

From tears of hate and pain

The black stained pillows of lonely nights

Are replaced once more with a friendly blade

The powder that gave her courage to stand

Has now dripped to her wrist and cover her scars

Her glow of laughter can fool the world

But her act wears thin and cold

She cannot live this lie anymore

The fashion and glamour no longer her security

Yet still her disguise from the truth

These sadden eyes still hides from doubting minds

With only her frozen heart and crimson smile
