Part Three: Him

Sunlight streaks through your open window, the rays strong, but I’ve been up for longer than I could guess. You’re sleeping next to me, on your stomach, your face towards mine, your hair a golden brown mass that cascades down your back.. My hand is in that silken hair, brushing back stray pieces from your beautiful face. My fingertips skim your naked shoulders, tracing the curve of your spine, returning to your face, and still you sleep.

How had we ended up here, naked and in your bed? We returned to your apartment, like I knew we would, but something was different. Your hand brushed mine as you shut the door behind us, and I could feel you jump in shock. You made a move to get away from me, but my hand around your wrist stopped you. You looked down at my hand, so big around your slender wrist, before looking up at me with questioning green eyes. I saw the confusion, but there was something else in those eyes. Desire. Repressed and waiting. You wanted me.

And then you were pressed against me as I tugged sharply, sending you flying into my chest. My free hand was in your hair, and then I was kissing you, hard and hot. And you were kissing me back, as though you couldn’t get enough. Christ knows I couldn’t get enough of you. And then you were beneath me on your bed, naked and wanting, just like my fantasy. Your skin was so hot, like molten silk, and your eyes, those eyes that endlessly haunt me, were so beautiful, so dark. And I was claiming you for my own, surging into your body and you welcomed me. You kissed me again, and I made you mine.

Hours later, you sleep on and I can’t keep my eyes off of you. I’m resting on one side, propped up by my elbow, my head resting on my palm, and my other hand is on your face. You smile softly, turning your head to press a kiss into my palm before opening your eyes. So very green, and I’m left breathless. I’m not sure what to expect from you. Will you hate me? Will you throw me out? God knows I couldn’t handle it if I lost you. But instead you snuggle up into my chest and I let you. I lay my head beside yours on the pillow, our fingers linking together, and I know what heaven feels like. You smile again before kissing me.

And then it doesn’t matter if I don’t deserve you, if I’m not good enough for you. Because for some reason, you chose me, all of me. And as we kiss, I know that this is perfection. You’re perfect. We’re perfect together

I love you for that.
