I Fly Away

Even though I’ll remember the things you said

I can’t stay

Every time something gets too close

I fly away

I won’t let it drag me down

But this time

I miss you

I don’t want to leave you

I hate how it feels

If you ask if I’m okay

Cuz I know I’ll have to leave today

Because

Every time something gets too close

I’ve got to fly away

Like a bird

I spread my wings

Take off

Leave the lies behind

Leave the tears I cry

I fly away
