Strange Thoughts Occur at Midnight

Strange thoughts occur at midnight:

Wolves and wives and lion’s den –

Curiosities of the hid-light,

Twysteries of mice and men.

In still and dark, deep, starkness,

child memory takes its toll

Transmuting silent artlessness

Away from deathly knolls

Neurons thread free-fluttering

Slip overlaps mistaken-haps

Tangles impossibly uttering

Chewings of brain-made laps

-elusive sleep flaunts from the end of the circle.

A/N: No, I don't completely get it. It was written very late at night. Just take each word at face value, don't look for grammar or patterns or anything. Other than that...shrug
