A/n: Thought of this while at the mall with a friend, while stalking very very cute guys
Disclaimer: I own all the characters in this story, but the places they visit in the mall are and never will be mine.
--Shopping Spree--
Mick and Sarah entered the mall with smiles on their faces and money in their pockets. But of course, shopping only came second when they were in the mall. The duo only had one thing on their mind; boys.
Mick was currently boyfriendless, and hating it. His last relationship didn't work out, and after a month of self-pity on his part, he was ready to get back in action.
Sarah, his best friend since second grade and the first person he came out to, had only had one boyfriend. It lasted a week, that was back in fourth grade. Both of them are now sophomores, and she had yet to land a boyfriend. Sarah wasn't one for dating, but she loved coming to the mall with Mick to check out guys.
Mick smirked as he looked around, it was pretty crowded today. He looked over at Sarah and saw that she was smiling too.
"Today is going to be a good day!" He winked at her.
She nodded and started walking, he came up behind her and linked arms with her. They walked up the steps to the second level, it was best for looking because you could easily see boys from up there.
They leaned on the railing looking down at all the passing shoppers. Lot's of parents, kids and old people. There were boys, yes, but none worth trailing after.
They sighed, but continued looking.
"Maybe today just isnt-" Mick began to say but quickly trailed off when he saw who was walking out of JC Penny.
"Sarah! Look over there!" Mick said with a smile spread across his face.
Sarah looked over and looked back at Mick.
"Well? Let's go!" She tugged on his hand, and they walked down the steps, hoping they wouldn't miss the completely cute trio that was just entering the Mall.
Mick saw them enter a clothes store called Hollister and they decided to wait on a bench, Sarah looking like she needed to check her phone.
He started to worry if he looked good or not today. He was wearing a blue polo shirt with light brown khakis and with his glasses perched on top of his head. He looked at Sarah, smiling at what she was wearing. Her tight jeans and cute pink top he'd made her buy. She'd made her hair slightly curly and it was held make with black clips.
He looked up and saw them walk out of the store with several bags in their hands. He looked them over, but his gaydar just wasn't working for these three. The tallest of the bunch was defiantly the cutest, and dressed in punkish clothes. The second, and the smallest of the bunch, was wearing a black shirt and baggy pants with chains on them. The third was slightly taller than the second and wearing a white wife beater and tight blue jeans.
The first and third of the bunch, had black hair with bangs hanging over their eyes. The second had short blond hair with spikes that were dyed blue.
Once they were up further a bit from them, they got up to follow them again.
"Sarah, I just can't tell about these boys." He said, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Well, we will just have to figure it out, won't we?" She smirked. Mick knew there was a reason he loved this girl.
The boys stopped and got pretzels, laughing and pushing one another.
"Which one do you like?" He asked, looking out of the corner of his eye at the hot trio.
"I really like the one in the white shirt..." She said smiling.
He nodded, that boy was very cute as well.
"They are all really cute, but I really like the tall one."
"Ohhh good choice. I'm sure he's good in bed." She giggled.
He swatted at her.
"Sarah! Naughty girl." He laughed as well, looking through the store that was right next to the boys they were following.
The boys started off again, and so did Mick and Sarah.
They passed Abercrombie and Fitch, Mick slowing down a bit to look at the cute photos of topless boys.
Sarah laughed and pulled him along, not wanting to lose the guys.
The boys went in Spencer's, and they decided to go in as well.
"I hate this place." Sarah said, wrinkling her nose up in disgust.
Mick laughed.
"Come on, I think it's funny. Plus, it's my only supplier of..." He trailed off, waggling his eyebrows.
She snorted, trying not to laugh.
"EW!! Mick I didn't need to know that." She shuddered.
They walked along, looking around.
"Oh, come on you know you get off on it." Sarah just shook her head laughing and went off to look.
Mick did as well, and he managed to trip and run into someone.
He turned around an apology on his lips.
"You ok?" The person said in a slightly deep voice.
Mick looked up and almost melted.
"Y-yeah, I'm sorry about that...I'm just so clumsy." He laughed nervously, trying not to swoon as he looked into the cute green eyes of the boy he was currently in lust with.
"No problem." The boy smiled, and moved away to look at some other things.
Mick quickly went to find Sarah, he found her in the back. He crossed his arms and tapped his foot.
"Missy, why are you back here?" He said, smirking when she jumped. She quickly put the thing that was in her hand back on the shelf.
She saw the look on his face and rolled her eyes.
"Oh shut up, I was just looking." She said, walking up to him.
"You should get the whip, it works well." He laughed at the look on her face.
They walked up and out of the store, going to stand by the steps that were diagonal from Spencer's.
The smallest one walked out, turning around to call out to the others.
"Guess what Sarah." He said, a smile on his face.
"What?" She said, eye's following a screaming child that passed.
"I bumped into Mr. Dreamy eye's in there." He said breathlessly.
She looked at him.
"You mean the guy you like?!" She asked.
"Yup." He said smiling.
She stomped her foot.
"No fair!!" She said pouting.
Mick nodded towards the boys, when suddenly he got an idea.
"You haven't gotten a chance to speak with your dream guy yet..." He said thinking.
"Yeah, what do you have in mind." She said, looking up at the taller boy.
"Follow me." He said, walking over to one of the many food shops.
--
Sarah was walking, eating her pretzel she had. She saw that the boy she was had said she liked earlier was falling behind in the group to look at something in a window of a store.
'Good' she thought 'this works perfectly for the plan.'
She walked closer to him and pretended to trip, her purse and pretzel went flying. They landed right behind him, and he turned around looking down at her things.
She walked up to him blushing.
"I'm so sorry." She said, picking up her things. Some of her things having fallen out of her purse.
He bent down, helping her pick it all up.
She slung her purse over her shoulder and went to throw her pretzel out.
"Are you ok?" He asked concerned.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you." She said smiling at him.
He smiled back, and turned his head to look at the direction of where his friends had went.
"I better go.." He said looking back at her.
"Of course...Thank you again." She said at his retreating back. He turned around and smiled, then continued on his way.
She walked over to where Mick was 'hiding'. She leaned heavily on him.
"I think I've fallen in love." She said in a dreamy voice.
He flipped open her cell phone, that he'd taken out of her purse earlier.
"Well then you'll REALLY love me." He said, shoving the phone in her face.
She saw on her screen a perfect picture of the boy she'd just take to smiling.
She gave him a big hug.
"You are the best!" She said smiling down at her phone.
He sighed, brushing invisible dirt off his shirt.
"I know." He said smirking.
"Now we better go, before we lose them."
--
They were both back on the second level where they had originally seen the trio come in.
They looked around, attempting to find them.
"I can't believe we lost them!" She said sighing, head resting on her palm.
"I know...they were so cute too..." He said, eye's scanning the crowd.
He sighed.
"Lets just go shopping, that's the only thing that can pick up our spirits." She smiled at him.
He was about to respond but he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He turned around and tried not to gasp.
Their, standing in front of him, was the boy he'd been following.
"Excuse me, but are these yours?" The boy said, holding out Mick's sunglasses that he'd had atop his head.
Mick touched his head, not finding his sunglasses.
"Yes...but I didn't even feel them come off." He said, taking them and putting them back on. "Thank you."
The boy smiled and leaned on the rail next to him.
"Hi, I'm Blaze." He said, holding out his hand.
Mick took it, shaking it, trying not to smile too big.
"Mick and this is my friend Sarah." He said, letting go of Blaze's soft and strong hand.
He smiled at her, and leaned in to whisper in Mick's ear.
"I saw you following me." He said, making Mick blush.
"Oh! I'm-"
"You want to go get some coffee?" He said, interrupting Mick.
"But Sarah-"
Blaze looked over at Sarah and smiled.
"I think Ron won't mind hanging with her. He's the one in the white shirt."
Sarah couldn't help but smile.
"Excuse us for a second." Mick pulled Sarah away from Blaze.
"Should we go?" He said, trying not to pick up his old habit of biting his nails...he just got them done.
"Why not? He invited us." She said, looking over at Blaze who now had his two friends with him as well.
Mick sighed, and smiled.
"Okay."
They walked back over to the group and Sarah walked in front of Ron.
"Hi, I'm Sarah." She said, holding out her hand.
"Ron." He said, shaking her hand smiling.
Blaze pulled the shortest one into a one armed hug.
"This is Kevin, the youngest in the group." He said.
"Shut up." Kevin said moving away from the tall boy.
Blaze laughed.
"Okay, let's go shall we?" Ron said, putting his arm around Sarah shoulders.
Sarah and Mick nodded.
Mick blushed when he felt Blaze's arm wrap around his waist.
They walked out of the Mall and went over to the Starbucks that was right across the street.
'Today is a VERY good day.' Mick said, grinning up at Blaze.
