Dear Y;

Have you ever watched people in a coffee shop? It’s one of my favorite places to watch people. People act different when they think no one is watching. They scratch places that aren’t normally scratched, they subtly pick their nose, they do all of these disgusting and fascinating things. And then there are the conversations you can hear. People will talk about their deepest and darkest secrets in public places without even thinking about it. They mostly think that the people around them are too interested in what they are doing to bother to listen to what they are saying.

It’s kind of funny, most people in coffee shops are so self centered, they think the entire world revolves around them and them alone. I like to watch those people most of all. They strut around the place like they own it while someone two feet behind them is doing the exact same thing. In my mind, I picture one of them turning around and starting an epic battle right there between the sugar and the cream. When I laugh about it people will look at me strangely and then assume that I’m laughing at some inside joke that they will never understand.

I don’t know, maybe I am because I don’t think any of them would understand that I am currently watching cute blond and cute red head sword fight with the stirrers, but it’s still one of my favorite places to go.
