Chapter 3

The day was beautiful and peaceful. It was a warm pleasant day where the sun was shining brightly, the air was sweet and silent. It was as some would say an almost perfect day. The noise was buzzing excitedly in the restraint as many tried to enjoy the warmth and fun of a day off. Well this was all the case until five very unusual teenagers walked in the very crowded and popular eating place called La Porchetta. A few looked up to stare at the newcomers. In the middle stood a very tall teenager, who had a very tired and exhausted look on her face. She also appeared to look a bit more sensible than her companions. On one side stood two other girls, who both had very mischievous looks on their faces and were grinning with excitement. They resembled something of what a young two year old child might look like. Many knew them as the two forgotten dopey nobodies. On the teenagers other side stood another girl; this one looked a little more frightening and somewhat of a subject of curiosity with her dark curly hair and evil grin on her face. Little did they know that right at the moment her mind was already forming ideas of mass destruction. Last was a short teenager who had a look of confusion strained across her face; as if she was trying to remember where they were. The tall girl in the middle approached the front counter and asked the lady to be seated. They followed her to a table and took their seats. Within the first five minutes all five were extremely bored. The scary curly haired girl was casually flicking the knife around in circles, watched intently by the still very confused Nicole. Meanwhile the dopey nobodies, Leisa and Bec, were attempting to read the menu, upside down by the way. Lauren was keeping a careful eye on the four of them, as if just waiting for trouble.

“Idiots you do realise that you’re trying to read it upside down, don’t you? Lauren asked and the two girls looked up and smiled cheekily.

“Well of course, were not dumb.” Bec replied

“What’s read?” Leisa said and Bec went to hit her over the head. “What?” she yelled

“That was fun” Bec laughed

“Let me try” Leisa shouted, hitting Bec over the head. Both girls laughed and continued taking turns to hit each other. Lauren rolled her eyes and Nic, who had stoped watching Em, now voiced her query.

“What are they reading upside down” Loz sighed and picked up her own menu.

“Ok, let’s hurry up and order” She declared.

“Why” Emily asked yawning, she looked as if she was about to fall asleep.

“Huh” was the only response she got from Nicole.

“We want a happy meal” Leisa shouted

“With a Ninja turtle toy” Bec added

“Were not at Macca’s” Lauren told them gently and they both turned to her and stated

“What’s a Macca’s?”

Were not at Mc Donald’s” Nicole piped up, attempting to catch on to the conversation. Lauren felt like slapping her but refrained from doing so in public.

“Please can you just make a decision?”

“I want a pizza” Nicole replied

“Chips” Leisa declared

“With ice cream” Bec added and Leisa licked her likes “Yummy”

“Ok, a pizza for Nic” Loz called out “Chips for the nobodies”

“I want a pizza” Nicole shouted and Loz just nodded.

“Ill have a Margareta” Loz continued

“Eww ice-cream and chips” Nic remarked

“I want a” Emily stated, before resting her head on her arms, placing them on the table and closing her eyes.

“Thankyou” Lauren moaned.

“I would like a small Margareta, a tortellini, and two bowls of chips with two bowls of ice cream.” Lauren replied. She was already exhausted and was starting to regret ever suggesting they all go out for lunch.

“I think ill just have a salad” Nicole added, before looking curiously at Emily who was fast asleep.

“You have pizza and don’t you dare” Lauren told Nicole, who was about to poke Emily. A very bad idea. Nicole looked at her as if she was speaking Italian and Lauren just held her head and muttered under her breath. The dopey nobodies were at this point having a sword fight with their knives.

“Put them down” Lauren ordered before she heard Nicole yell in surprise. She had attempted to poke Em who had grabbed her wrist and with it forced Nicole hard on to the ground. Grinning devilish she went back to sleep. Nicole looked up confused before two knives came flying at her, just missing her head by an inch. The dopey nobodies looked shocked then seeing Laurens face they bolted towards the bathroom. Nicole sat their for another five minutes before realizing what the girls done she stood up furious. Lauren quickly made to get up to try and calm her down but before she could Emily pointed to the bathroom and Nicole dashed towards it. Placing her head in her hands Lauren moaned. Emily watched her friend in amusement before grabing out her lighter and heading for the kitchens.
