Why does it seem like I have

"Death" branded on my heart?

Everywhere I look I see it

Sometimes I can feel it on

A person's that's so close to it

But walking these solemned

Hallways, our teacher dead,

Faculty crying, students doing the same…

And I feel the sadness and shock

Of others well within myself

And break into tears

Upon my cheeks, so hot, so damp
