Authors Note: This is the end... this is really depressing. I have decided to write more about the highschool Star is based at. I might make several stories also, not positive yet but the newest is in planning and I might have it done after I'm done posting Burn. Everyone, you've made me amazed, truely amazed that this story was loved so much. You guys are awsome for reading and I hope you see you guys back here for my new stories. Take care everyone and get ready for the next chapter!
Star didn’t change, she ran several lights. She didn’t really care at the moment. Her heart was pumping rapidly. Would he remember her? She hoped so. Star had hardly let the nurse finish before she hung up on her and was out the door with her beach sandals instead of office shoes and her coat slung over her arms. She looked like a mess but it mattered not to her.
“Come on change!” She yelled at the stop light.
Star ran her fingers along her lips nervously. This was the moment she had been waiting for. Star only hoped it had been when she was at the Hospital. Star had no such luck at any point in her life. Star turned on her radio. “If you could be my punk rock princess, I would be your garage band king!” Star heard the radio play loudly.
She began to breathe harder. That alone was a sign. Star sped up the street. Her tires locked once she reached the hospital parking lot. Placing the car in park she jumped out and held her coat closed. This was not at all how she had wanted Charley to see her after all these years, but she didn’t care about her looks at the moment.
The front desk was crowded and people were staring at her. They act as if they’ve never saw a woman in a trench coat and flip flops, Star thought avoiding their inquiring looks. “Dr. Lucas this way!” The nurse called.
Star raced over to the nurse. The hall they were traveling seemed to take ten times as long as it usually did. Perhaps it was because she didn’t race to get to his room in the past because she never had a reason such as the reason she had been given tonight. Memories of their high school days flooded her thoughts. That science class where she had been angry to be paired with him invaded her thoughts as they passed the ER room one.
The nurse led her around another corner. That say she had gone to his house for the first time was what she thought of in flashes. Her eyes sparkled as they neared the stairs. Another memory of the semiformal came to her. He had kissed her so wonderfully. Stars lips tingled slightly as she climbed the stairs. They seemed a mile long.
She began patting her bangs down absentmindedly as they arrived outside the door of a new room he had been transferred to. She grabbed the handle and remembered the moment she saw him lying in that stretcher wheeled by the officer she had forgotten the name of momentarily. Tears filled her eyes as she turned the knob and allowed the door to open quickly.
She peered inside to see a small light on in the corner of the room; it was bright enough to illuminate the room in an orange tint softly. On the bed was the reason for her current existence, he was sitting up and had been staring at a small TV on the wall. He looked up at her. He didn’t smile. Star was swallowing back her tears of joy. “Charley?” She asked as her lip quivered a little.
He tilted his head to the side as she approached. “Don’t you remember me?” She asked fearful of his lack of motivation.
Charley stared at her as she placed her hands on his hand. “Have we met?” He asked simply.
Star covered her mouth to stop from puking. He didn’t remember? Charley must have! She was the one he loved! She was in love with him. Her mind raced. “Charley…. Oh God…. I wish you could remember me…” She let her tears fall.
Charley allowed his lips to twitch into a smile. Star caught this and let her eyes grow dark. “You monster!” She screamed as he began to laugh.
He was playing with her from the moment she walked in. “Relax Star, I was testing to see how much you missed me.” He said to her.
She knelt down to place her arms around his neck. “How couldn’t I miss you?” She asked horrified.
She backed up and grabbed a chair from the corner to sit beside him. “Star, you look like Hell. Although, that night gown is a nice touch.” He noted.
“I’ve been through Hell.” She looked down.
“Me too. When all you see is black for several years you begin to forget what colours look like.” Charley said to her.
Star nodded. “Your mom should know you’re awake.” Star said.
“Not just yet, I want to spend some time with you.” He said smiling at her.
His eyes were still as bright as ever, but they remained squinting from sensitivity. “What happened to everyone since high school?” He asked Star with curiosity.
“Jill and Max did community service for what they did to you. I don’t know where they are now.” Star explained with a grim look.
“Serves them right.” Charley said coldly.
“Lily is currently in Britain working as a school teacher.” Star informed him.
“Lily is? Wow, she’s come a long way. I can’t believe she’s actually talking now.” Charley said surprised by this news.
Star nodded slightly. “What about Chloe and Ron?” Charley asked.
“Chloe and Ron are… dead.” Star said to him looking down.
“Dead?” Charley was sad.
Star knew he didn’t see this coming, he had always assumed they were alive. This truly puzzled him. “Ron decided to join the FBI. He wanted nothing more than to show the world what the Government was hiding; he dreamed too much of being Fox Mulder that he ended up in a lot of danger. Chloe was his reason for joining; she went missing and was found three days later dead.” Star said.
Charley looked mortified. “You’re kidding right?” He asked.
Star laughed. “Of course, I just wanted to see how much you missed them.” Star shot.
“Jerk.” Charley smiled.
“They’re actually expecting a child soon.” Star smiled.
“A child? You mean… Chloe and Ron actually had sex?” Charley asked mortified.
“Yeah.” Star raised a brow.
“Did she slip, hit her head and he took advantage of her?” Charley asked.
“No.” Star asked thinking he was crazy.
“Well God…. I could never sleep with anything that paranoid and…. And ugly!” Charley joked.
Star stared at him. “Dear God!” Star laughed.
“I’m just kidding. That’s great news.” Charley smiled.
“I should get them to come back in town to visit you. I’ve kept in contact. They haven’t got married just yet but they’re thinking about it.” Star notified him.
“Speaking of getting married...” Charley said.
He grabbed the ring that hung from her neck by his two fingers. He stared into her eyes. “What about it?” He asked her.
She blushed and smiled at the same time. “Well… I had considered that for a while myself.” Star said.
“And?” Charley asked.
Star nodded. “Of course.” She smiled.
“Like you or anyone else in this world didn’t see that one coming.” Charley smiled.
“So, why did it have to be this way? Where you go into the coma? Why did you have to go into a coma?” Star asked.
“It’s not so simple. I assume, because you cared so much for me, it would have been too hard to let me go. Therefore, you did everything in your power to help me. Aside from that, I really don’t know. I can’t understand everything.” Charley said to her.
He was right. Charley usually was right always. “I should send a call into your mother.” Star smiled.
“Yes. I think I’ll finish watching the news. Maybe it’ll explain what’s happened in the world since I left it.” Charley said.
“The last Harry Potter book came out.” Star winked.
“Really?” Charley asked interested.
“Yeah, I cried my eyes out.” Star said closing the door behind her.
She smiled proudly as she left the room. A powerful urge came over her. She ran to the washroom and began to cry. Because of her, people now had a new medical cure for comas. Star had created a miracle all on her own. She looked at the mirrored reflection of herself and smiled. “He was right about you. If you try… and you mean it…. If you never give up, you’ll succeed…” Star said to herself.
She left the washroom with a smile and dry eyes. Star picked up the pay phone and dropped her change in it. “Mrs. Haven?” Star asked.
She smiled. “You’re son is ready to talk to you.” Star waited for her response.
“He’s awake?” His mothers astonished voice asked her full of wonder and excitement.
“He’s alive and I want you to come here and see him.” Star said to her.
“I’ll be there soon my dear.” She said to Star.
Star smiled. “Goodbye.” Star said.
“Wait!” Mrs. Haven’s voice urged on the other end of the line.
Star waited a moment. “Yes?” Star asked as the static on the phone indicated each other of the others presence.
“You’ve given me something I could never have wished more for. Thank you, and welcome to our family.” His mother said to her.
Star smiled refraining from tearing up. She slowly hung up the phone at the dial tone. Her gratitude was nothing compared to what was waiting for her several rooms away.
Star would get back to Charley in a minute; she had one last call to make. “Hello?” A male voice answered the phone.
“Ron?” Star asked.
“Yes… who are you…. How long have you been tracking me?” Ron asked concerned.
“It’s Star…” Star said waiting for Ron to speak through the silence that suddenly emitted.
“Oh! Sorry… Um, what’s up?” Ron asked.
“Charley is awake!” She said to him.
Silence. “Seriously?” Ron couldn’t believe it.
“Yes! Bring Chloe to the hospital! You have to see him!” Star urged.
“Be there soon!” Ron said hanging up.
Star walked back to Charley’s room, he was bracing himself trying to look out the window. “You shouldn’t be up and about; your muscles aren’t used to it yet.” Star scolded him.
“So sue me for looking at the sky.” Charley said to her defiantly.
Star walked over to help him; he put his arm around her, both as comfort and as a crutch. They looked into each others eyes and looked out at the sky at the same time. “Do you think we’ll be together forever?” Charley asked her.
Star smiled as she stared at the twinkling stars before her. “You tell me, you’re the psychic.”
Thanks everyone for the support. Look for more of my stories, because I'm hoping to make another in the same high school. I hope for a little Greenleaf High series. Anyhow, check out Burn if you will, its up. The summary is below. I decided to thank everyone who reviewed, please find you name if you reviewed. See below.
Before I give my three page long thank you to all my readers, I was hoping to propose a new story idea that I’m very unsure of ever posting. I guess I’ll summarize it slightly.
The story is called ‘Burn’ and it’s very similar to the Adam Sandler film ‘Little Nicky’ as my friends have pointed out. It’s about the Devils two sons and how they must fight in a tournament to become to new devil. One is evil and has been raised in Hell and the other is good and has no idea he’s the devils child for most of his life. The story is rated M because it contains very severe content like: Suggestive themes, sex, drug abuse, suicide, brutal violence and bad language.
It’s very different from anything I’ve ever wrote because I don’t usually write stories so brutal. As I’ve stated before though, I like to expand my writing abilities. Anyone who thinks I should post it and would actually care to read it, please notify me.

Iheartemos: Hey, thanks for reading, you review almost every chapter since you started reading. I’m really glad you liked the story, your name is one of the reasons I always know who you are. I wonder if you think Charley is emo? He comes off as it sometimes, but he’s not that emo really, just depressed for the reasons you now know, his coma!
Xo.maybe.xo: You have probably the smallest amount of words in each review but I still enjoy hearing from you. Sometimes it doesn’t take many words to describe how you liked or disliked each chapter and I’m glad you stuck with me for so long. Thanks!
Sea-dreamer: You’re the one who wasn’t sure about the whole psychic thing in the beginning as I recall. I wonder if you ever grew to like that after all, even if you didn’t, I’m glad you never stopped reading. Thanks for sticking with it!

Mandy: I thought it was funny that you wished she would go to school dressed up like at the concert, I really think it would be an interesting day. I couldn’t fit it in though because if I did Jill would cause a big fight and then I’d have to make it even rockier, but it was a good idea. Thanks for the review!

Demoiselle-Fantaisiste: Well thank you so much for reading and even more, I’m so pleased you believe it’s perfect. To me though, I think I could do better in some spots but I am very proud of this. Thank you so much for the review, it means a lot:D

Hi…: Thanks for the review and I believe it will be that bad even without any sex-scenes so I just want to be safe. Thanks for reading.
For anyone I’ve missed, I apologize the list was rather long! Thanks for reviewing everything and look out for any more of my stories. I was wondering if I could have a poll on my next story. It’s actually something I’ve been unsure about posting due to the content but if you feel I should post it send a review or send me a message; the details are up above all the reviews.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!
