It’s amazing, the sounds you hear when no one is around. Isn’t it? As of now, I can hear the sound of my refrigerator running. It’s almost a calming sound, but I feel no calm. No, I can’t feel calm. Not with what I’m about to do.

I hear the clock tick to another minute and I reach down, rolling the leg of my pants up. A knife sits on the in-table beside me and I pick it up, I also do this slowly.

I have no reason to be quick.

I have nothing too rush to.

It’s dark.

It’s quiet.

And I’m alone. My only company is the blade that is now poised to slice through the flesh below my knee. I jerk my hand to the left. A fast movement, but it can be fatal nonetheless. I hiss in pain and frustration as blood slowly begins to trickle down my leg.

I close my eyes and lean my head back. A sense of numb swells through my body to replace the moment of pain.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and the day that I find out my first boyfriend is cheating on me with three other girls. Three more scars will find their way onto my skin, but for now, I sigh and rejoice in my moment of numb.

Well, it's really short, but it took me a while to write it. PLZ don't make fun of it, this actoully happened to me.
