You've got the whole world in your hands
And you don't even know just exactly what it means
You won't know the value of it all until it falls into that hole, the place where lost things go.
And you're fighting so hard to push it away but you will feel the fall
Because the good times aren't so great until you're pushed against the wall
And you'll never appreciate being able to stand if you've never had to crawl

If you never learn to move on then you'll forever be stuck
And if you always play it safe then you'll never know your luck

Don't wait for a hero (become your own)
Don't play it safe (go for the unknown)
Don't depend on miracles (make your own)
Don't hide in the dark (yell and be known)

When you leave your house today, where ever you may go
Remember to bless the fallen and those that you know
For forever we will all be searching for that one thing to lead us through the dark
And forever we will be calling for someone to light the spark

You do not walk alone, for your brethren are at your side
And there's no need to worry, you don't have to hide
Don't think you can avoid the pain, you're not the first to try

You're fighting so hard to push it away but you will feel the fall
Because the good times aren't so great until you're pushed against the wall
And you'll never appreciate being able to stand if you've never had to crawl
