DESPAIR

----------------------------------------------

Groping my way through the darkness

Lunging blindly for a shred of hope

I hear my chains clang without rest

My eyesight becomes blurry

The tears I shed turn to stone

The stench of blood is unbearable

But still I breathe it in

Never ending scenes flash past me

Heart wrenching screams echo from afar

Then I realize

I am alone

A chill seeps through me

Everything around me is up in flames

Oblivion is coming near

Escape is but a promise

It vanished along with my innocence.

A/N: Thank you for taking the time to read another of my poems. This is a bit grim, and i do hope you'll forgive me. It's just that I'm having some problems and I wanted to get a good night's rest so i vented it out here. I would be grateful for reviews headed my way. :)
