May Magic

On Beltane, the fires burn and they dance

The light glows and shimmers, everlasting.

You dance, turn your head, and see at a glance

Faeries surrounding the fires, dancing.

They spin, they turn, laughing all the while.

They glisten in the fire, like rain drops.

You are shocked, confused, but still, you smile.

Though scared, what you see makes your heart stop.

You turn and your magic moment ceases.

As the drummers begin the end of the dance

A pulsing, rhythmic pounding increases.

But your heart sings because you got the chance

To see the magic of Faeries dancing

About fires that burn, everlasting.
