Tonight I Can Write
Before you start torching me, I would like to explain that yes, I did get the title from Pablo Neruda’s work, but I won’t be posting it here. Apart from the title, the poem is all me. Ü
--------------------------------------------------
My pen fits right in my hand
And the paper is beautifully white
The world has stopped turning
For just a little while.
Words flow through me
Coursing along a stream of will
They find their way to my fingertips
And reveal their nature in parchment.
Visions of the past I see
While the present glides by
My future unfolds before me
Yet uncertainty blocks the light.
The warmth wraps around me
As the cold tries to reach me
I feel safe for an eternity
Then I was brought back to reality.
Now the moment has passed
And the world moves on
But I left behind a piece of me
On a piece of parchment that lay unseen.

A/N: Arigatou! Now, this isn't as grim as the one i posted a little while ago, but my emotions are on a whirl, and i tend to write about what i feel and what i like, however mundane it is. So thank you, and i hope to see reviews, both the good and the bad. ü And by the way, "Tonight I Can Write" by Pablo Neruda is amazing, i suggest you get a copy and read it. ü
