STAINED GLASS
Still not in the mood to rhyme, so please forgive me. ü
------------------------------------
I am not His Child
I have come from the deepest fear of all
It was not my wish to destroy
But my fate I cannot forego.
My disgrace happened on a day like this
Almost an eternity ago.
Running away was my mistake
Which worsened when I made The Choice.
A foolish mortal I once was
From Immortality’s cup I drank
Now I am nothing more but an empty shell
Feeding upon others for my own gain.
Beauty was bestowed upon my kind
A mockery of sorts
Perfection it may be
Forever devoid of life.
From lifetime to lifetime I wander
Seeking the means for my obliteration
Salvation will never come
To those who had turned away.
I am nothing more than a piece of glass
Shattered, filthy, spent
Broken down by time
Stained by the hands of men.

A/N: Arigatou! Now, i'm sorry if it seems i made this while on crack. To make it a little clearer, let me explain. This is from a vampire's point of view. For the sake of the poem, let's just say that he/she had a problem he/she was running away from, then somebody offered him/her immortal life, hence, "the choice". It is said in folklore that vampires choose very beautiful victims, as a mockery to God, since they will be alive for eternity. I hope this clears some of the misconceptions you may have had while reading. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask me. And i wouldn't mind reviews one bit as well. ü
