I lost a thought...

I'm sure I had it

Locked up, somewhere,

In my mind's attic.

It must have been

A mental note,

Maybe a humorous,

If mean, retort.

It slipped my mind

And lost its way...

I guess I'll search for search

For it someday.

But until then,

I have to find

Where I misplaced

My peace of mind.
