Whisper

Falling endlessly, into miserable lies,

Deceiving looks form thousands of eyes.

My deed is done so forget my sins,

The pain ends, my last whisper begins.

“I’m sorry, I’m gone,

never will I return.

Forgive me, as I die,

In death, I hope for relief from the lie.”

Redemption from my sickness,

Freedom from my sins.

To life and forget defeat,

And to remember the words last whispered.

“I’m sorry, I’m gone,

never will I return.

Forgive me, as I die,

In death, I hope for relief from the lie.”

Deceit is all I knew,

And you were all I had.

As I let go of the familiar past,

I brace for an unknown future.

I was once gone,

And now I’ve returned.

This last whisper has changed,

And has become the begging breath.

And so I leave,

With one last wish.

Remember the whisper,

For it will soon come again.
