Elemental Guardian! Anzu!

Chapter 8: The Race to the Jewel
“Why me?” Anzu asks herself after the cat scream and then tears starts to fall from her eyes.
Suki pats Anzu on the back. She would say something to comfort her, but she has no clue to what to say her. She hasn’t had friends in a long time so she’s rusty when it comes to consoling people.
Anzu dries her tears knowing this no time to cry. She walks on over the white cat that is still standing in front of the entrance of the temple. “Kaze-kun.”
He doesn’t answer her. The cat is trying to recover his voice that he almost lost from screaming so loud. This worries Anzu dearly.
“I…,” says the wind user as she tries to get forgiveness from Kaze. She feels very guilty because it’s her fault for leaving the jewel back at her house.
Suki grabs Anzu by the arm. “We have no time talk right now, but lucky for us Yami doesn’t know about this so we have a chance to find the jewel. So let’s go search for it.”
Anzu just nods her head and gets out of her friend’s grip.
“Mizu…,” says Suki and trails off wondering what to say next. She doesn’t know if she come with her and Anzu or to stay put.
“She’s staying here,” says the cat at last. “Yami can’t see her with you guys because then he’ll figure out the jewel is gone. He’s a smart kid and he will put two and two together.”
The girls agree so Suki gets out her stick and holds is up in the air. She then yells, “ELMENTAL EMERALD POWER TRANSFORMATION!” The girl glows green and changes into her element alien form. Once that happens her and Anzu fly up into the air to search for the lost jewel.
“Is there anything I can to do?” asks the blue eye girl, when they other two are gone.
Kaze looks at her and answers, “Just stay put.” Then he runs off.
Mizu sighs and lies down on the porch. She stares at the roof of the building. She then goes into deep thought.
Meanwhile, Yami is flying over the city looking for the lost piece of jewelry. He wished that stupid guardian said how she lost it. That would make it so much easier for him to find it.
As he’s flying the shadow user spots his favorite person in the whole wide world. He sees Kaze sitting on the edge of a building’s roof. A smirk appears back on his face and Yami flies towards him. Maybe he can make the little cat talk by torching him.
Anzu and Suki are also flying over town. The wind user explains to her friend about what happened to the lost item. The earth user then suggests that they look for it in the dump first since her mother took it out to the trash. Then she also says that if it isn’t there they’ll go from there and look else where in the city.
They landed in the garbage dump and cover their noses. The place reeks of rotten food and other type of thrash that would smell badly after awhile. As soon as they landed there the girls start looking right away.
“Anzu-chan, use your wind to look in the mountain of garbage and I’ll look in the small piles,” says Suki after she realizes that this will take awhile.
Anzu obeys and flies over one of mountains of rubbish and bends wind. She lifts up ton of junk and finds no sign of the jewel so she tosses it side. She keeps doing that for couples of hours until the thrash is spread out everywhere in the dump.
Suki runs over to Anzu after she’s done looking through her share of the rubbish. The earth user sees her friend sitting on the ground. “Any luck?”
She looks up at her and shakes her head. “You?”
“No, I think the garbage trucks are still doing their runs or maybe a bird took it,” she answers.
“A bird?”
“Well, it will shine brightly when the sun hits it. Birds like that kind of stuff to build their nests.”
“We should go tell Kaze-kun,” says the wind guardian and they leave the dump.
Back to Mizu who is now exploring the temple. She is very bored and has no one to talk to. When she’s done exploring, Mizu walks out of the temple and sees a bird sitting on the ground right in front of the steps that go up to the deck. It has a broken necklace in its mouth. On the lace is a murky crystal and some how it managed to stay on it. Also, there’s something strange about it. It’s glowing blue.
‘This must be what they’re looking for,’ Mizu thinks to herself and starts to approach the bird very slowly since its back faces her.
The guardian was almost near it, but the bird saw her in the corner of its eye and flies away quickly. Mizu just stands there and looks up at the sky. She sees it flying away quickly and starts to follow it as fast as she can.
In the meantime Kaze already has enough things to handle at this moment. Yami is attacking him with some shadow attacks. He’s trying his best to doge, but it’s hard to do while being stuck in a cat’s body. The cat loses the fight when Yami pins him up against the wall of the doorway that leads to the roof of the building.
“Damn you,” he growls at him.
“I’ll let you go once you answer a few questions for me,” he says.
Kaze is quiet. He has a bad feeling about this.
“I know that jewel is gone so don’t pretend you know nothing about its disappearance.”
Kaze shakes his head. “I really don’t know anything. I was never told about what happen to it. Even if I did I would never tell you.”
“Hmp I’m not going to fall for that. Tell me and I’ll tell you about what happen to your sister.”
Kaze eyes widen when he said those words. “What did you to do her!?!”
“I wasn’t the one who did anything to her. It was….,” he was cut off instantly when a blue light catches his attention. Yami sees a bird flying right over them and landing on a few buildings away from the one they’re standing on.
He just leaves the cat stuck to the wall and flies over to the animal. This is chance to get the jewel and give to Kuro.
Mizu stops in front of building when she sees the bird landing on top of it. She looks around and sees fire escape on the side of the building. The girl enters the ally way and stops in front of the latter. She then starts to climb up it.
She finally reaches the top and sees the bird sitting at edge of roof. She sneaks up on the bird and was about to grab it, but Yami beats her to it. He lands behind the animal and picks it up with his hands. He then turns around and faces her with a triumph look in his eyes.
The new guardian figures this must be Yami who attacks Tokyo. Kaze told her about him while Anzu was at her house.
“I guess I’ll let you live since you won’t be able to transform,” he says to her then laughs.
She looks around and finds a piece of rubble on the roof. She picks it up when Yami turns his back to her. Then she aims carefully and throws it. The piece of rubble hits his right ear which was the target she was aiming for.
The bird breaks free of the shadow user’s grip, when he puts his right hand on his right ear. He turns around and glares at the girl. “You guardians are such a pain.”
Mizu just ignores him and rushes on over to him. She pushes the boy out of the way before he can get hold of the animal again. The bird landed on the ground so it can fluff up its feathers since Yami messed them up. She then quickly picks it up.
It starts to freak out and tries to break lose. The new guardian pets it and tries to calm it down. “Don’t worry I’m not going to hurt you.”
The bird relaxes and opens its mouth. The jewel falls from its mouth and Mizu lets go of the bird and catches the jewel. Then bird flies away quickly before anything else tries to get it.
Yami was pushed to ground while that was going on. He gets up to his feet quickly and blast Mizu with a shadow attack and it hits her on her side. She falls onto the ground and drops jewel when it was about to give her henshin stick. The jewel since it’s kind of round starts to roll away when it hit the ground. Yami goes after it, but a blast of air knocks him off the roof and he hit’s the ground below. You can hear people screaming and running away.
Suki and Anzu land in front of Mizu. This makes Mizu be able to breathe again because she was so unsure what was going to happen to her. Anzu helps Mizu up from her feet and then bends down and picks up the jewel before it rolls away from them.
“You okay?” Anzu asks Mizu.
“Yeah,” the girl answers.
“How did you get this back?”
“I saw a bird that had it so I chase after it then I got attack by him,” answers the blue eye girl.
“Well, at least we got it back,” says Suki.
A shadow ball is coming there away and Suki grabs Mizu and gets her out the way. Anzu sees the shadow user floating in the air and forms a wind hammer. She uses it to whack the shadow ball back at Yami.
Yami doges and stops the ball with his hands. Then he throws it back at Anzu and she hits it again with the hammer. This goes on for awhile until wind pushes Yami back to the ground below. The shadow ball then disappears.
The girls look up and see Kaze floating in the air. He looks very wore out and has ton bumps and bruises across his body. His injuries came from trying to break free from the shadows barrier that Yami used on him earlier. He lands next to Anzu.
“You okay?” asks Anzu.
He nods and looks at all of the girls. “Does any one of you have the jewel?” he asks.
“Kaze-kun, I have it.” says Anzu.
“Give it to Mizu,” the white cat orders her.
Anzu hurries on over to Mizu and holds the jewel in front of her. It glows blue and a stick floats out. The stick itself is light blue, but the crystal in the middle is dark blue.
Mizu grabs it and holds it up in the air and shouts, “ELEMENTAL SAPPHIRE POWER TRANSFORMATION!” Mizu glows blue and transform into her element alien form.
Her hair is the same length, but is light blue and her eyes are dark blue. Her outfit is the same as the other two, but with different colors. Her gloves are dark blue and the jacket is the same color. The shirt underneath the jacket and the skirt is light blue. Her boots are dark blue with light blue shoelaces.
Yami floats back up to building again and isn’t too happy what he sees. Once again they awaken other guardian and he decides to leave. Kuro won’t be a happy camper when he hears this.
Kaze walks up to Mizu. “Welcome to the team,” he says to her.
“So is my element water?” she asks Kaze. She could tell by judging the colors of her custom.
“Yep and now we only have fire and storm left,” he answers.
Anzu jumps up in the air and hovers a little bit after Kaze spoke. “Yay!”
“But that doesn’t mean training is going to stop,” the cat hisses at her.
Anzu returns back to ground and beings to pout. “Is that only thing on your mind?”
“Is laziness always on your mind?”
They keep on fighting while Mizu is looking at her outfit. She excited because she loves going adventures ever since she was little. Suki is space out after Kaze said the word fire so she doesn’t notice them fighting.
Back on Planet Element Yami is talking to Kuro about Mizu and losing the Jewel that Anzu lost. He isn’t too please about hearing this and slams his fist on the chair’s arm.
The element boy somewhat steps back in fear. “Master, I won’t fail again.”
“You better not!” the man shouts at him.
The shadow user doesn’t say anything and bows to his master. He feels his heart pounding his chest every second. He can also feel himself trembling in fear. Yami never knew Kuro get this frightening.
The man then leads over on the right side of his chair and puts his hand his right cheek. “Listen boy and listen carefully. I want you to kill off those girls at once. I thought sparing them wouldn’t be problem, but they are getting stronger everyday. Their element powers are advancing to quickly. Also tried to get that crystal back from them and crush it. Then the remaining ones won’t be an issue.”
Yami just nod. He’s still bowing to his master afraid to stand straight up again.
“You may go.”
The shadow user leaves quickly before his master changes his mind and punishes him for his mistake. Sometimes he wonders if it was the right thing to join him, but he had no choice. It was the only way to save her.
Kuro sighs and shouts, “Rika!”
Rika appears right before him and bows. “Yes, master?”
“I will need your services soon,” he answers.
A smile appears on upon the woman’s face. “Hai.”
