Pardon the Angel

By Jenny Valentine

Clashing waves awake
The angry tide inside me

An angel, I use as my mask
Though truly,
There resides a demonic innocence

The jealous rage, you don’t see?

It is simply because
Your eyes fail to perceive
Beyond the picturesque of perfection

In the landscape of faultlessness
There is a Seraph running with the Devil
Picking the sacrosanct from its holy tree

Do forgive me,
For the temptation is provoked
By the descend of ‘evil’

But do not chastise me
When I tell you
This provocation is solely inevitable
Of our humanity

So ever do pardon the Corrupted Angel
Of which shall fall apart from us all

A/N: Partially inspired by the song, "Devil Inside" by Utada Hikaru.

-Thanks for reading :)

Much love,

Jenny
