She's just a lonely girl
with secrets she didn't tell you.
All those lies she was told
that was all she ever knew.
She had dreams in her back pocket
by they flew far, far away.
She wonders where the dreams went
because yesterday wasn't any better than today.
-
She tried to be strong
but the world got in her face.
She tried to keep her head above the clouds
but instead all she was, was out of place.
-
Her tears are permanently in her eyes,
and her fears are always there.
What's the point of all this screaming?
It's not like someone cares.
She's all alone in this world,
nobody's there for her to reach to.
What happened to the dreams she had?
It was the only thing she could ever hold onto.
-
She tried to be strong
but the world got in her face.
She tried to keep her head above the clouds
but instead all she was, was out of place.
-
My dreams left me in another world,
I was left in the decaying today.
I cry to the moon, won't you be my friend?
But even the moon walks away.
What's the point in all this screaming?
It won't change the things that are said.
What's the point in all this screaming?
Either way my soul is dead.
-
I tried to be strong
but the world got in my face.
I tried to keep my head above the clouds
but instead all I was, was out of place.

A/N: Yes, I have used the last line of the third stanza in something else I wrote. I liked it, it fit. Also, yes the last stanza changes to first person, it's suppose to.
