Shall I Compare Thee To The Shadows

Written By: Lady Alera Van Hexis

Once in a while

I open my

Pathetic

Bleeding eyes

As the wings beat

Both the air and

My weak, fragile

Body

No one understands it

No one really cares

Drifting away (on this cloud of silver)

Into the day (I fall forever)

Angels wait on high

As they rape me with their evil eyes

How long must I lay here?

Victim to this dead pain

The light fades from my bleeding eyes

I am beaten, once again

As those creatures take me

As those creatures rape me

As I float up in the high

And don’t feel a thing, at all

My heart falls out of my chest

I cannot love anymore

All that I feel is death

Forevermore (my lovers)

I didn’t know this would happen

When I fell up to almighty Heaven

And those angelic creatures

Rape me with their minds

My blood is chilling as

This sorry excuse for love

Seems to continue

Until the blinding dawn

And now you rape me

With your sweet seductive smile

Until my body shall succumb

Until my filthy blood will run

Now these angels rape me

This time slowly

And excruciatingly with

Their hands and bodies

I am now broken

As the caresses

Gradually change to angry

Crushing presses

I seem to finally break away

I have severed my heart

Far away from my mind

I give in

And the cold dead life

Rips me apart

I awaken to that cold old hotel room

Where the sounds echo through all the years

And I drown in the pity and emptiness

That my soul used to fear

So love shall never be mine

As I crumble and sparkle and then I will shine

As I fade away into the night

Where the angels they break me and hide

In the cold dead heartless night

As the shadows drip away

And the light it turns to grey

And I compare thee to the shadows
