A/N: This is just a brief cutting from a story I'm currently working on to get published someday. I have this chapter and the following up to get a broad impression from fellow writers. Please review so that I know how I can make this story better. I welcome any criticism, good or bad.
Introduction
Waiting patiently, Supreme Overlord T’Kalta listened as one of his assistants, 1st Underlord T’Kaltana outlined the preparations of the Aktris invasion fleet. Within only a few Human weeks, the four main Human governments would be attacked. The military planners had anticipated few casualties, though he knew that the humans might put up a surprisingly strong resistance to his plans.
He refocused his attention onto 1st Underlord T’Kaltana once he started to talk about the current military status. “Supreme Overlord, I’ve just confirmed the construction developments. Right now we’re moving five percent ahead of planed construction rates, with a chance of increasing those rates even more. However, the quality of those ships aren’t being sacrificed to make construction rates go up. By the time that we’re ready to attack those pathetic Humans, we’ll have three thousand Sh’tite-class Shadow Ships-about ten percent will be the old Class threes, eighty percent will be our current Class fours, with the rest being the newest class,” Reported T’Kaltana.
After pausing for a moment, looking at his notes, assumed the Supreme Overlord, he continued, “Supreme Overlord, I’ve received reports from the Humans that we’ve got inside all of their different militaries. Reports from the Kingdom indicate that it will fall pretty easy, but mainly because over half of their officers and ships are ours. The Ranzan Republic, on the other hand, will be a different matter. They are the strongest military, next to ours.”
“Really, Underlord,” the Supreme Overlord said when T’Kaltana paused for a moment, “Do you think that any military could come any where near ours?” he asked. When nothing was said, he continued, “I didn’t think so. Nothing can come close. I don’t care how strong they are. What I want to know is how long it will take to crush them. The Supreme Goltak is only giving us a few secas to complete this mission. If we fail, then it will not only be your head, as my top advisor, but also my head because I’m in charge of this mission.”
“I understand, Supreme Overlord. It won’t take us long to crush them. We can cripple the Kingdom within one seseca, crush the Empire within two sesecas, same for the other Republic, but the Ranzan Republic will take at least one seca, should things go the way that we want them to. However, they can go drastically wrong, cau-” T’Kaltana was saying when the Supreme Overlord interrupted him.
“What did I say to you, Underlord? I told you that we only had a few secas, but what you’re saying is that we at least three secas, should things go the way that you’re planning. I want you to come up with a plan to crush them within two secas, just to be safe. The Supreme Goltak will probably only accept three. Do you understand?”
“Yes, Supreme Overlord. I’ll get to work on it right away.”
“Good. Now get out of here, I need some time to think by myself. Bring me your report by this time tomorrow.”
As soon as T’Kaltana left, the Supreme Overlord focused his attention onto the displays in front of him, which showed the exact number of units in his three fleets, as well as the approximate numbers of Human ships. So far they outnumbered the Humans by thirty-to-one, not counting the Aktris ships currently in the service of the Kingdom.
