Leaves of Lies
Enclosed in lifeless walls and languid sleep
Of wilting dreams (flaccid in their flocculated
Land of fenced enclosures); a glaciated
Jagged freeze lacerates blood to seep
From slothful eyes - perfect pearls of sordid lies
That with idle indolence slowly scratch
Or hack the truth, like a parasite they latch
To slice as they gash, slash the azure skies.
And crippled in your manly arms I fall
Apart; blind eyes when I need them to see;
Lost and hopeless, like a rootless tree,
A foundationless, mislaid crumbling wall:
Disparaged
declarations
cause so much
strife;
These lies; the
undenied love of my life.

NB. this is aparently quite difficult to understand. The main thing is that I like to play with words, especially aliteration because I love how it makes the pace increase, so read this quickly and aloud.
The general plotline (not that I want to tell you how to read it, and obv make your own conclusions, this is just in case you really don't think it makes sense) is that there is a freeze in the mind, like a giant cold movement of ice, cold feelings which makes the lies and attacks the perfectness of nature, the beauty of the skies. These lies attack the person, brining them down, and so they fall apart, but still they can't deny the lies, I think its hubristic (if that's the right word); knowing your own downfall but doing it anyway.
It is supposed to look like a tree, the trunk is the last two lines just separted, but theyre still the right pentametre etc and rhyming.
