Katy Porter

Hi… I guess… anyway, to the paper… what is it called… oh! It’s the personal statement. Here goes. I’m Katherine Porter, but I go by Katy (with a ‘y’) or Faith. I was born in Washington State, I grew up and live in Port Orchard Washington, but I will be moving away from this town after I graduate to Seattle. I have a big family. I have a step-sister, Rose, a brother from my mom and dad, Nick, a brother from my step-dad and my mom, Matthew, and two sisters from my dad and my step-mom, Leslie and Hope. And I like to do whatever I feel like (within reason).

Here we are, at what I like to do… where to begin…. I like to write songs and stories, the stories are mainly fanfics (Fan Fictions). These stories are what I think should happen or what happens between books and movies. Like the one I’m working on now is about Harry Potter. I also like to write regular stories. Mostly Romance and humor though…. I also like to cheer, and dance. Not that I’m any good at cheer and dance…. But I am good at writing. I also like to read and mess around doing absolutely nothing. I can stay outside for hours with my friends. I also like to sing. I can’t go somewhere and listen to music and not sing. It’s impossible. And I like to paint.

At school… no that’s a different story looks at Katy 1, Katy 3, and Tara… but not really…. My favorite subjects… art, journalism, cooking, and history. I’m an Okay student… I guess…. I have some awards from the SKPW (South Kitsap Pee Wee) cheerleading squad. And also an award from the Gig Harbor Pee Wee Bulldog cheerleading squad. I also have an award for one of my poems at I have a few awards for the songs that I write.

My Career Pathways… All of them except Technology. I have experience in the Writing and Creativity, as I have writing awarded for my songs, and I have sung in front of over 120 people at least 5 times, and that is experience for my chosen career, Singer. I was in a school play in 6th grade, so there is experience for my other chosen career, an Actress. And if those dreams don’t appeal to me when I am a senior, I will become a detective. Not a Sherlock Holmes Detective, but a detective that works on crimes.

So basically, in a shortened few sentences, I would like to become a either a actress, a singer/ dancer, or a cop/ detective. I can cheer, write, sing, and dance. I like to play and mess around with my friends too.
