Deep in the jungle where the lions sleep

Mr. Cheetah began to weep.

“Why are you crying?” the mouse did ask

“I just lost my water flask!”

He cried and whined all day long

And interrupted the macaw’s song

“Would you please be quiet?

We don’t need a great big riot!”

That big kitty started to pout

He paced and paced, inside and out

All around the jungle he walked

While all the other animals talked.

“That poor cat,” said the moth

“You’re quite right,” replied the sloth.

So they worked and worked all day

They didn’t stop, they didn’t play

Soon enough they finished their task

And had a brand new water flask

The cheetah laughed and jumped and smiled so wide

“Thank you, oh thank you!” He cried

So the cheetah had his fun

Until the end when down went the sun

The animals all went to bed

And he had friends all in his head.
