Chapter Three

“What…” Abi started, “the FUCK was that?!?” She asked.

I pulled myself away from Frankie. “Well, I guess I should just tell everyone now…”

“You have kids?” Frank asked.

I nodded. “They’re 14” I said, hoping he’d realize, and I wouldn’t actually say anything.

“Well, I guess I didn’t mean that much to you than.” He sounded hurt as he said this. “You got over me pretty quickly.”

“What the hell’s that supposed to mean?” I practically shouted at him.

“Well, let’s see. I left almost 15 years ago, and they’re 14!” He said.

“So that’s what you were upset about?” Grace asked.

Everyone looked at her confused. “Well, mom you said you were upset and that’s why you slept with Brendan. You were upset because he left?”

“Brendan?” Frank said. “Who the fuck is Brendan?”

“Frank, I didn’t sleep with anyone after you left, I swear.” I said, trying to get him to realize.

“So what, you were cheating on me?” He was even angrier now.

“You’re an idiot…” muttered, running my hand through my hair.

“I’m an idiot? At least I didn’t cheat on you!” he yelled.

“I didn’t fucking cheat on you!” I said. “Look at them, Frank.”

He still looked pissed off, like he wanted to break something, but he did what I said. He looked at Abi and Grace for a minute. His eyes widened and he looked at me, silently asking me if what he thought was right. I nodded a little. “Oh fuck…” he muttered. “We need to talk,” he said to me.

“Obviously.” I said. “Let’s just sit down, okay. All of us.”

“They don’t know, do they?” Frank asked.

“Julie’s the only one who knows the truth.” I said.

We sat down on the couches and chairs that were in the room. “Mom, what are you talking about?” Grace asked.

“And how the fuck do you know Pencey Prep?” Abi asked.

“Nice mouths your kids have there, cuz.” Jake said, smirking at me.

“They did learn from the best.” I said.

“Wait, he said, ‘cuz’,” Abi said.

“Well that’s kind of how this all started…” I said. “When I was 19, I found out that Jake was my cousin.” I said. The girls were staring at me with their mouths opened. “And the band came to my house, to visit me and your grandpa.”

“That’s so weird to hear your dad called ‘Grandpa’.” Shane said.

“Yeah, well anyway…” I said turning back to the girls. “So they came and Frank and I, we sort of…”

“Fell madly in love.” Roman said bluntly. Both Frank and I blushed.

“Well, we started going out.” I said. “And at the end of the summer, they had to leave.”

“And I never heard form her again.” Frank said.

I glared at him. “That’s not true, and you know it. I kept in touch with him for about a month, but then I found about you two.” I said.

“So that’s why you started ignoring me.” Frank said. “After a month she just stopped calling me. Of course I tried calling her, but her dad kept saying she wasn’t there, or on the rare occasion she did answer she would just say ‘Hi, I got to go. Bye!’ So after a while, I just figured she’d moved on, and didn’t want to talk to me any more.”

“Why didn’t you talk to him after you found out about us?” Abi asked me. “He didn’t have anything to do with it. You just got drunk and slept with some dickhead.” She said.

“You’re so stupid, Abi,” Grace said. “Don’t you see? Frank got mom pregnant with us!”

“WHAT?!?!” Abi, Jake, Adam, Shane and Roman all said at the same time. I guess no one besides Grace noticed. She has always been smart.

“Wow, you guys really aren’t that smart, are you?” Grace said.

“Wow, so. You have kids, Frankie.” Jake said. “And they’re my cousins kids to… so we’re sort of related now…”

“But more importantly than that…” Roman said, “What are you going to do? I mean, do you want to still see them and talk to them?”

“Obviously! I missed 14 years of their lives already!” Frank said, glaring at me.

I winced. “Sorry!” I said. “But he’s right, what are we going to do?”

Frank sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Well… fuck this is harder than I thought.”

“What are you guys doing this summer?” Adam asked randomly.

I looked at him, confused, and replied, “Nothing… why?”

“Well, I’m sure Frank wants to spend time with Abi and Grace, but we have to tour,” he started. “So maybe you could come on tour with us, so they get to spend some time together. We just got this new huge bus, so there’s plenty of room for four more people.”

We all looked at each other, then Shane said, “Yeah that would be awesome! Do you guys want to?”

I looked at Grace and Abi, who were both staring at them, mouths opened in shock. The turned to me and started nodding vigorously. I just laughed and said, “I guess that’s a yes!”

“Wait,” Julie said. “You said four people… but there’s only three of them.”

“Well we weren’t going to leave you out! You’re our friend too!” Jake said.

Julie smiled. I was happy cause she would be there to help me through this, and she had obviously wanted to come to, so we’re all happy!

“So Frank, anything you want to know about the girls?” I asked. It had gotten kind of quiet, and I hate silence.

He nodded. Well duhh of course he had questions! “Um… what are your full names?” I guess he just wanted to get every little detail about them and I don’t really blame him.

“Abigail Christine Gorman and Grace Elizabeth Gorman,” Grace replied, Abi still seemed to shocked to speak. “Well, I guess it’s really Wiegand but…” Frank just nodded understanding what she was saying.

“Um… when’s your birthday?” He asked.

“April 19th” Abi said, sounding overly excited.

“What’s your favorite band?” Jake asked them.

“Pencey Prep!” the both shrieked at the same time.

“Well, you raised them well, Annabel!” Jake said.

Again it was quiet, no one seemed to want to speak. “Um… Frank, can I talk to you for a second?” I wanted him to talk with the girls, but I really felt like we need to talk by ourselves for a minute first.

He nodded, and followed me. We only went a few feet from the rest of the guys, so everyone could see us, but it didn’t matter.

“Look,” I said, after a moment of silence. “I’m sorry I reacted the way I did. I should have told you, and I had no right to keep something like this from you! I mean they’re your kids too, right and…” I trailed off when I saw him smirking at me. “What?”

“You haven’t changed much, have you?”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked.

“You just keep talking, and talking, and talking…” I smacked him on the arm, lightly. “Okay, sorry. But really,” he got more serious then, “It’s okay, I mean I probably would have done the same thing if I had been you. It’s okay.”

I nodded. There was a question, in my head, that I really wanted to ask him: Does he still have any feelings for me? Even if it’s just the littlest thing in the universe that he feels for me. I wanted to know. I was just too nervous to ask him.

Finally, I took a deep breath, and said, “Frank, do… do you still have…”

But I was interrupted when I saw a pair of arms wrap around his waist. I saw his eyes widen, and his face turn slightly red.

Then I saw the face of a girl, slightly taller than him with red hair and brown eyes, lean on his shoulder. She had a huge smile on her face.

“There you are Frankie!” She said, in an overly happy voice. “I’ve been looking for you!”

Looking at her, with her arms around Frank like that, made me feel… jealous. I rarely get jealous, and this girl made me want to rip all the hair off of her head and tell her to get the fuck off of Frank! This feeling was very new to me.

When the mystery girl saw me, she said, “Oh hi! Are you the girl that won that radio thing? It’s very nice to meet you!”

I tried to make my smile look as realistic as possibly (which was a lot harder than it seems) I said, “Yes, I’m Annabel, Annabel Gorman! It’s nice to meet you too!”

“Oh, are you the Annabel Gorman? Frankie’s old friend? Oh I’ve heard so much about you!” Frankie talked about me? Well that made me feel a little bit better (and I stress a little!).

Frank didn’t want to look at either one of us. He was staring at his shoes when he said. “Annabel, this… this is Kea. She’s my… she’s…”

Her smile (if possible) got even bigger as she said. “I’m his fiancée!”

A/N: ohhhh!! Cliffy! Well, I don’t know… does that count as a cliffhanger?? Whatever… Oh my gosh! I’m sooooooo sorry it took soo long!! I’m terrible! And I feel bad! I will try to write more ASAP!!! Well I hope you all liked it! Please review!!!!!! Bye!!!
