A/N: We were just studying the Crusades and I thought of this. Kinda dumb, but I feel like writing something depressing.

Tick Tock Clock

The sun rises and sets,

The moon ascends and falls,

The world goes on and on.

The people in the market haggle,

The sheep in the field straggle,

The priests in the church are telling everybody to be good,

And the clock goes tick tock.

The fools go on with their tomfoolery,

The children go on with their dreaming,

The knights go on with their slaying,

And the clock goes tick tock.

The world wages on,

Battle follows battle,

And the clock goes tick tock.

People kill people,

Christian kill Jew,

Jew kill Muslim,

Muslim kill Christian,

Christian kill Muslim,

Jew kill Christian,

Muslim kill Christian,

And the clock goes tick tock.

In the end,

Christian kill Christian,

Muslim kill Muslim,

And Jew kill Jew,

But still the clock goes tick tock.

The world wages on,

People kill people,

But the clock will never stop,

It’s faint tick tock.
