ENG213

Sestina

We'll let our limp limbs explode

from the windows, covered in black stains.

i should have never told you

about her green

eyes, now we will never forget,

or i'll have to break it again.

here we go again

and there you go, watching my world explode,

laughing loud enough to forget

me. while our carpet stains

stay, and fade back to green.

And now I need to not need you.

wish i could have told you

that you were right again

about my stomach being green

but i thought it would explode.

And as the blood sinks in to stain,

I begin forgetting to forget.

yet i pretend to forget

and then when i told you.

but the truth is i never slept with him

should have never told you

in a car crash

the truth is i never slept with him

because I couldn't sleep without you
