I smell of other people’s sin
Of other peoples’ lies which they tell
Hidden behind their eyes that
Gasp open in a moment of
Sensuous joy that trickles
Spurts and I pretend it hurts

I smell of other people’s lies
Of what they go home to when
What they have here is real
I sing to them and cradle heads in
My arms as I rock them to
Sleep As I yell and scream
In the truest ecstasy I writhe to their content

I am their sin and their
Deceitful souls
But I remain pure
Because no scalding love has scarred me
And I am who you want to be
But who you can’t quite touch
No matter how you put and laugh giggle
You cannot
Will not
Be me
