"2,000 Flies"

there's a storm coming from the west
and i can't cover myself enough
but meteorology isn't a real science
so i'm out to call mr. climate changes bluff
he's become a star with the lights
and on the well-watched evening news
forecasting between the lines his reasons
forecasting his unjustified, hip-pity views

the faces change every three months
and the dialogues every two weeks
they've won awards
they've been acknowledged
had their lows and then their peeks

seeking out constant viewer-ship
and suckers who believe the lies
you'll be sure as to when it's summertime
because you'll be harvested on by 2,000 flies

three...two...one...
the lights have come up
and it's time to go
you've got 30 seconds
to decide if it's supposed to rain,
get cold, warm or be just so
but in the environment i am housed
it could be 2 o'clock
and here comes 5 inches of snow
we'll get to todays headlines lies
after this beautifully pieced together intro
